I was 13 and me and my friends built a chicken cannon after watching it on mythbusters; we were getting ready to shoot my dad's old car and it hit me. "What the hell are we doing?"

I was about seventeen. Something (I don't remember what) had happend that had left me extremely frustrated. I was about to punch the wall in front of me when I asked myself, "What are you so angry about?" I couldn't remember, and it was like the angry switch in my brain had just been flipped over.

I agree with EasyKill, though, on going the wrong direction- happens to me every other day, it seems....

It's to do with the frontal lobes in the brain. Fist thing we did in Psychology class was look at the brain and its functions. The frontal lobes control forward planning, decision making - higher order thinking. Basically, in adolescents, it's not fully developed and so we tend to do stupid things without thinking. I've tried many times to identify why I've done these types of stupid things, but I can't recall any decision making progress. Anyway, there's the shrink explanation for you. Reason number #145 adults think teenagers are a messed up bunch of wackos.

- Yep, I had the same problem. An extra complication for me, I think there's a type of shoe called a Mary Jane. I also had to eliminate the possibility that C Lion was sneaking away to indulge in a secret shoe fetish.
