What the hell is wrong with my book?

ok in my copy of "The Great Tree of Avalon:child of dark prophecy" the book cuts off at page 82 and for 33 pages a book called "Don't Make A Black Woman Take Off Her Earrings" takes it's place.The original book resumes at page 115 And it's at a different place than it left off.What should i do?On a lighter note on a scale of 1-10 how much of a FAIL is this

Haha. xD Wow, well, I'd just leave it be but that is a huge printing mistake. I didn't even know that could happen.

I think I'd give that a rank of 8 fail points.

Methinks there was an error during printing.
Erm, you could take it back to where you got it from? Or contact the publishers? Have a lovely rant (unless you enjoyed the snippet of the second book you read - in which case you can pick that up too).

I've had a problem similar to this, though not exact, with a different book.

Just show this to the people who you bought it from, and request a replacement.
Skim through the replacement, making sure it doesn't have the same problem (took me 3-4 Replacements), then take it home with you.

It's merely an error at the Printer(s), so I give it a 6.

Keep it but ask for a new and free copy. That way you win twice as bad, misprinted books tend to be worth a lot for some reason.

Wow... that happened to me as well with a Star Craft Novel, it goes from being Star Craft to some sort of Farm novel of some sort >_>
I went and found two other copies of the same book and they both had the same problem...

T.A. Barron wrote one of my favorite fantasy series - the five book Merlin series. I haven't read that particular book but "The Great Tree of Avalon" is related in the series.

My assumption is that they're both published by the same company. However, I've never heard of that happening. That's awesome but still fails.
