umm... yeah what the hell? If anything this installment has managed the sidemission concept the best out of the lot. I have no idea what you are banging on about...

I won't even consider giving it a try until Ubisoft dumps that atrocious DRM they use. I refuse to support such DRM in any way. I won't even support the notion that the game so 'protected' is even any good.
What DRM? I've been playing offline on ps3 for a week now. Not sure what you're referring to...

I am constantly thinking, "right, I will do that then that ... No, I want to do that first, then the other thing ... No, I, ARGH! Too many choices!"

Although I will have to go back and do about 50% of the missions, keep failing the second objective.

I have no idea were I am in terms of % complete but I have 4/6 romlous (?) keys. (you know the dog dudes)

Improve the damn combat that is my biggest problem with the game...<.<
This is all they need to do, seriously.
But Brotherhood's guard-breaking kick and chain-kills made the combat buttery smooth. I don't even use counter anymore!

OT:

As long as it's not totally set in 2012, I'm happy. I like the 2012 storyline WAAAAAY better than the Animus stuff.

I suggest feudal Japan.

"- more assassination techniques as well, the ability to assassinate somebody while in a busy crowd would be good, as would things like "deniable" assassinations, throwing people off bridges or towers, rather than just stabbing them."

You've been able to throw people off of things since the first game.

Anyway, I'd like to see the Brotherhood feature advanced - it feels great to stand back, call in someone and have no one suspect you at all, and even though it's basically a simple spreadsheet you do feel as if you're looking after all these assassins.

Whilst they're obviously not going to go with Desmond for the entire game, the split needs to be way more 50-50, because the modern times were interesting before, but after Brotherhood's ending... I NEED MOAR.

A good way to handle it would be to show Desmond actually controlling the Bleeding Effect, so that he can dive into his memories without the Animus. If that happens at scripted story moments then I think the split is easier to achieve.

I want the following:

- More focus on the 2012 storyline. I actually like Desmond and his team, and I want to see a conclusion for their story arc at some point before my hair starts turning grey.
- Get rid of Brotherhood's goddamn shop quests, or failing that, at least don't make critical loot drops completely random.
- If the brotherhood is to remain as a gameplay mechanic, give us more options for using them than 'kill those dudes' and 'riddle those dudes with arrows'.
- If you're going to go for secondary objectives that are difficult to achieve, at least split the mission in some places. Especially with stuff like the tank mission. Screw you for that tank mission, Ubisoft.
- Do NOT use WW2 as a setting. Just don't. No matter the angle, the setting has been trampled, raped, buried, exhumed, raped again and been left to decompose in a roadside ditch.

Lol in terms of side missions its one of the best games ive ever played. What could be improved is rewards for doing the 1000 side missions avaible.
Real side missions Brotherhood's side missions were just assassinate this other guy. Can't they add like a deliever this bag of gold before the people kill the hostage.
You're an assassin, not a delivery boy. So no, they can't.
In AC1 some missions had you gathering flags, were you a capture the flag expert and assassin in that one?
But those were petrifyingly dull and horribly done!

I only play on PC. The PC version has the most atrocious DRM ever concocted. You have to maintain a constant connection to Ubi's servers to play, and if you lose that connection you lose progress and are booted to the game's main menu.

In single player.

Hell. No.

I'm 100% for banning all DRM from ever existing. There's no way in hell I'm going to support such a draconian scheme. I sure as hell ain't going to support it by spending 60 bucks I can't come up with easily on a game I might not like.
okay... but unless i'm mistaken Ac Brotherhood hasn't come out on pc yet, so you have nothing to whinge about just yet. I know ubi has online drm on pc, but really for Assassin's Creed, you need to play it on ps3. There's no substitute.
They might even change it for the new one on pc. don't know.

They should introduce difficulty settings. I want harder combat...
They did that... the defending the assassin's castle without losing any hp mission (for 100% synch) took me like 12 tries.

They should improve the stealth aspect by...IDK making it thief like?
They have enough fantasy material to make up a piece of equipment that detects the light emitted
They should add indoor missions,The ones in which you have to go into a house to kill some b-tard.They could always make all of the houses accessible as hiding spots.
Also the ability to wear the clothes of the kill so that you could fool the guards.
I still am wonder why the hell no guard attacks anyone with a white cape and hood.Aren't previous assassinations enough of a clue that those clothes are of an assassin?
And a more responsive combat system,I mean its all fluent and stuff but you still could win a fight easily with spamming counter.
How about the one that Arkham asylum did?
It was exactly like AC but you simply could not win by spamming counter

Unless the PS3 is on your tab that just isn't an option. Affording a PC that could game was hard enough and I had to garbage pick half of it. Other half is used relics from the glory days of Socket 939.

Eventually I will get around to buying a used PS3 to play GT5, but the only reason I'll do that is because GT5 isn't available for PC.
To buy a computer that will run AC:Brotherhood at a decent speed and quality, would cost roughly about the same price as the ps3 is today, in fact... probably a little dearer, so I don't see what your gripe's about.

The only thing i can think of that needs improvement, is more variable use of the brotherhood, more fluid combat (i love the combat, but i often see ezio making rather unnatrual moves, also i am referring to combat running like in Arkham Asylum), more counter attack moves, enemies beeing more aggressive (i hate standing around waiting for them to attack and a little more variety and harder assassination missions. Also it would be great to see more of actual historical characters in the game.

I really love the game and i would rate it a 10/10, but if something could be improved it would be as stated above.

Make the brotherhood more customizable. I could change their colour and thats It. Srsly I thought you would get to make them better with daggrs or one who is just really heavily armoured all I could do was give them full armour and keep upgrading their weapon. Oh god and a better ending why did I have to stab Lucy that made no sense and who the hell were those people talking in the credits. Lastley thos shop quests I have collected almost every treasure chests in the game and still haven't got all the shop quest's
The game's dialogue hints at why you stab Lucy both Minerva and Subject 16 (once you finish the puzzles) say "she's not who you think she is" which of course confuses Desmond. Also did you notice the power cut as soon as you finished with the animus? (big hint at a spy)

Also if you're stuck on the fast poison quest you must get aconite from tackling a borgia courier

Guys talking at the end are likely William (Assassin HQ guy who Shaun and Lucy were emailing throughout the game) and someone else there.

You really need to be patient this isn't a series where the answers are just given to you by the end. They leave a lot to you to work out and keep you in suspense for the next title.

What I would like to see is a new perspective (Ezio is getting a bit old now - which is mentioned in the first half hour) and maybe multiple crossing perspectives. Perhaps Desmond could have a pair of ancestors in the same time frame, however one of them has defected to join the templars. And throughout the game the conflict escalates until the final showdown between two characters you have come to relate to. And no you wouldn't play this battle so you wouldn't know who would win and be kept in suspense.

Improved free run AI - a lot of missed jumps and no movement at all

Brotherhood could have more customisation (like shoulder pads, weapon type etc) and better control (they randomly spawn and run in, I'd rather if you were up high they would air assassinate etc)

Brotherhood ranking - I wanted this so bad where you could have like second in commands, mission co-coordinators, team leaders etc. This would have made me actually want to change assassin's colours (Black for leaders and me and white for the grunts - like AC1)

Of course to go with that each potential assassin would have their own stat set (subtlety, sabotage, organisation, intelligence, free-run, etc) which would make different assassins better at different roles and mission types.

Glances at what Abstergo is up to - many games have flashes where they show what the bad guys are up to and when but all that happens in AC now is we get told Abstergo seems to have certain plans. Of course I don't want them telling their plans outright, merely hinting and showing some courses of action - they were pretty much not present in Brotherhood at all (despite some emails sent by your co-workers)

The return of multiple city maps - Rome was good and all but it felt so empty since about 65% of it was countryside with small villages. I really liked the different styles of Florence, Venice and Forli and how they changed your freerunning style a bit.

Different weapons for different combat situations - I found myself just using the sword the whole game with the occasional switch to hidden blade for some targets. You have weapons strapped all over your body and many different kinds to buy, yet one can take down every opponent you come across.

Better thought out abilities for multiplayer - I play manhunt and now all my opponents are over level 20, they ALL have templar vision. Making effective hiding impossible when all four enemies have a sure find ability with only a 60sec cooldown.

And... I've ran out of steam for now

Considering as to how Assassins Creed: Brotherhood ended I can see Desmond becoming the main playable character in the next Assassins Creed game. If they keep the ability to build a brotherhood of assassins in the next game than I would really like the ability to communicate with the assassins and get to know them.
