What to do while walking outdoors?

So I've gone out for a walk for an hour or two every other day and now I've gotten quite bored of it. I do however own an andriod phone(Galaxy S2) and was wondering what I could do with it while walking outdoors.

For a while I tried to read forums(such as this) but it was hard to focus on both reading and walking. To clarify, if I focus too much on the reading my pace slows down but if I don't, what's the point of reading at all?

And yes, I've watched movies. So does anyone have a suggestion? There might be something so obvious that I've missed.

listen to music or take a friend along and chat, does make time go a little faster, what I used to do on weekend hikes...those were long ass days

Walking helps me think faster. If I'm thinking too much I actually feel excited and start running. I must look weird to other people.

Audiobooks are an obvious solution. I don't know if it has an app for Android, but I'd bet my money it does, but you could get audiobooks that interest you off of Audible.com to listen to while you walk.

The best option, for me, is going with a friend but that's not always an option.
I don't really want to think too much because of some recent events, that's why I want something to do. Normally I just went out to think but that's now a no-no.

Audiobooks are good, but finding a good book with a good reader isn't always that easy, since I listened to alot of them at my last job. Tho' if you have any to recommend I'd be more then happy to try them out :D

@Shameduser: Well, I kind of live at the outskirt of my town and it's quite alot of forest around here. :(
