What to do with an inactive guild?

So, a few days ago, I logged on to Fiesta, a personal favorite MMO, and found that I had become the master of a guild...
In September.
For at least half a year, the guild I joined on a whim, [Precious_Love] has been a haven for characters long abandoned. Everyone who still plays the game has moved on by now.

I, myself, haven't logged on in months, and I don't really have the time to get anywhere in MMOs. I can't help but feel a sort of obligation to this game, and this guild, however, since it was the first time I ever felt at home in an online community. Well, that and a GM gave me a special item that he technically shouldn't have.

So, what should I do? Boot everyone out and start anew? Make someone else guildmaster and leave? Or just ignore it?

Isn't that by Outspark? I started playing Secret of the Solstice closed Beta but that's about as much as I've played of their games.

Yeah... I'm also scared to see what has happened to the community. I was around for the first few months, but I've... Well, I've had a life.

this happened to me in guild wars. I managed to rejoin another that a few old guild members set up. but if you dont have any oldfriends in your guild that you can play with again, i would just move on,

I'd say quit the guild as chances are they don't really play anymore; there's no point in holding it together if it's broken already.

Just find a small tight knit guild and start anew.

You could always flaunt your clan master status and be all like "BWAHAHA! I R THE GREATEST!" And then initiate some unsuspecting players into your clan. Once they have joined your ranks, leave without a word, happy with the knowledge that chaos will ensue.

I couldn't exactly say...as I have usually been one of the players booted for not playing for a couple of months. This has probably happened to me around 9 times, in a few different MMOs.
I can only suggest this:

'cause it would be awesome.

Mean, but so awesome.

I had the same thing happen to me in Guild Wars, had a clan of roughly 30 slowly peter-out over a few months once pressing life matters took precedence for many, which is fully understandable.

It can be good fun to start afresh, meet some new players and introduce them to the game / guilds in general in Fiesta. New players are among some of the best players to socialize with, mainly because the other nitwits in the game haven't been able to grind them down into depressingly annoying griefers yet.

EDIT:
Or you could always tug some people along from The Escapist to play for a while and see how it goes.

Guild quitting usually sucks. But, in this case, I'd personally just do a runner and not look back. It's not like the inactives will really notice.

I would just disband it if I felt evil that day, or just leave it if feeling normal. Besides, odds are the inactives will find a new guild if they ever come back.

I've also had the same problem. My clan on Rohan Online (HugePVPness) has been suffering recently because its leader (zerosniper) hasn't been on in a while.

btw: try playing Rohan. its fun. www.playrohan.com

You can do the Solja boy in Fiesta. Considering the reaction to the actual solja boy game, I doubt there would be any chance of me getting people to join.

Anyway, I'm still pretty clueless in the game myself, despite having been there from the start, and its a non-PvP guild. I don't think you can change a peaceful guild into a warring guild. I'm not even sure I'd want to, though. Dance parties are a breeding ground for guild wars, and I like 'a dancin' all too much for my own good. =P

I can heartily agree with the dance-thing from personal experience...

In my first few weeks of playing GW I ended up in random dance-parties in a certain area of the game (Piken Square to those GWers who have no interest in this story), and just ended up chatting to other random people who were doing the same.

Seeing as one of those random people I've now know as one of the best friends I've had for over 3+1/2 years, sometimes random spontaneity can lead to awesome things.
That and the Monk dance in GW rocks.

EDIT: Just be hush-hush about the Solja-Boy part, get this thread to a 2nd page, and then start tagging people along. Cunning as a Fox from the Cunning University of Cunningham...

Don't play Fiesta.
Erm.. Why not?
Well...why not play CoH?
Fixed. hehe. Anyway, City of Heroes and City of Villans is a great mmo, and if you get the Good Vs Evil edition you get both games for 1 sub fee. its a pretty good deal in my opinion. I do believe they offer trial accounts so you can try it out if you want. Join Champion Server! Ok, no more bugging people to play on my server, I'm done.
