What to wear?

I'm thinking about running the Cancer Research UK's Race for Life, but I was planning on doing it as a superhero.

So, Escapist's, I'm wondering who to run it as, I think Batman but any other suggestions would be nice.

You really want to run a marathon as a superhero? Correct me if I'm wrong here, but I've got a couple friends who cosplay at conventions and stuff like that, and they always complain about how hot the costumes are. And they sure as hell weren't running in them. A Batman costume, for instance, probably 1) isn't very breathable, and 2) is black, meaning that it absorbs more heat than any other color. It'll be an exercise in unpleasantness... and possibly heat stroke.

Speaking of which, why would you want to run the race as a superhero in the first place? Going to a convention or a movie grand opening dressed as a hero I get... but it doesn't even make sense in the context of a race.
