What videogame has the best soundtrack?

"bioshock" was eerie and awesome... but I love some of the "timesplitters: future perfect" music... soundtrack is free on the free radical website... some awesome dance tunes I listen to a lot... Cortez can't jump is sooo cool (and ironic coz that was the one thing that sucked about the game i.e. not being able to jump)... God I love timesplitters too much, I swear I bring it up in like 9/10 of my posts

Hands down Max Payne 2 (can't believe nobody mentioned it), the way Perttu Kivilaakso plays is simply amazing and the bit by Poets of the Fall at the end fits the moment very well.

personlly i loved the finalfantasy X soundtrack. Loved it so much in fact i imported the soundtrack from japan. Nobuo Umatesu( I know i miss spelled that) is one of my favorite composers period. But other than that the pokemon games had some catchy tunes that i liked. Halo was nice but i only liked the main theme for the most part.

this is a bit cheap but the Lord of the Rings the Two Towers, even though they just use the movie's soundtrack
best game only soundtrack is age of mythology, blends well with the game/action

Super Metroid, Metroid Prime trilogy
Space Rangers 2 (look it up - Elite+RPG)
Fallout 2 (certain themes were really, really good)
Deus Ex... and it was midi music

I'll probably stir up a lynchmob, but I thought Halo only had one good theme and the rest was pretty generic. The "one good theme" is the one that is used in absolutely all their advertising and whenever they need to get the fanboys rowdy. I've only played about half of Halo 2 (crashes my computer if I try to go further) and I can't even remember anything from it.

Rollcage Stage 2. It's mainly Omni Trio, Renegade and Aquasky. Perfect!

Vice City and San Andreas are pretty good too.

Definitely Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. It's tense, creepy, complex, and passionate. It's one of the only game soundtracks that I would listen to even if it had nothing to do with the game.
