The first few finnish inventions I can think of are molotov cocktails and Angry Birds.

Also, Alan Wake and Max Payne 1 & 2.

The jet engine
Bolt-action rifles
The printing press
The Haber-Bosch process

That's the first things I could think of. Probably a lot more.

Edit: Breech-loaded steel artillery guns.

Edit 2: Assualt rifles, how could I forget about that?!
Actually, the turbojet design, if I recall, was developed in the 1930's by a Brit.

On-topic: Being American, I can definitively say we invented the atomic bomb, as well as the hydrogen bomb. We also invented the airplane, nuclear-powered submarines, and radio (I think. I'm really just taking a shot in the dark, because I forget exactly where those famous 1890's radio transmitters are... I want to say Massachusetts... but I can't tell for sure)

Britain: The Machine Gun (aka the Maxim Gun) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hiram_Stevens_Maxim#The_Maxim_machine_gun

He was American, but he adopted British citizenship before inventing it, and then developed and built it in England.

Also, the first ever self-powered fixed-wing aeroplane was invented by a British man named John Stringfellow: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aeroplane#History

Supposedly Chinese travelers had visited America after the Vikings and before Columbus. Look it up on google if you're interested.
they were the earliest humans that came from Africa that came to asia that went over to alaska and over to America and became the indians we know today

I am german...we invented pretty much everything. The MP-3, Heroin, the General purpose machinegun, the Cruise Missile, USAs and USSRs Space Programs, the Atomic Bomb (to a degree, since german scientists fled and helped the US on the Manhatten Project), the Otto Motor, the Diesel, the Jet Engine (altho a brit invented it AT THE SAME TIME), the Jet Aircraft...
Or do we only count stuff directly invented inside the country...that would require me to do some digging.

Canada-Take your pick really...paint roller,basketball,hockey,zipper,etc.

I love the saying "Its more american than baseball and apple pie" because Baseball is a derivative of a French game and apple pie is from england so anything said could be more american than those two

btw wikipedia has pretty good lists for this, most major inventions mentioned are probably listed to your country. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Norwegian_inventions here's the norwegian one, pretty damn short, but it is also verry lacking, does not mention we invented the spray can for instance..
anyways here's the american one:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:American_inventions
scottish one:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scottish_inventions_and_discoveries
the english list:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:English_inventions

oh the norwegians also invented the grenade harpoon. so we can nearly be blamed for whales nearly going extinct.. <.<

Quite a lot has been said in this thread so I can't really think of what else the US invented.

I'm just going to say something random that I could be wrong about: Cheesy Poofs, Cheetos, whatever you want to call them.

But one thing I would like to point out, if you don't have a country listed on your profile and you say something, I'm automatically going think it is the US that did it, unless you state the country.
