"Robocop vs Terminator" for the SNES, 1993. I was four or five years old. My dad had got the Snes second-hand and "Robocop" was the only game the guy he bought from had. Mostly I remember it for creeping the hell outta me whenever I fried any of the basic enemy-type, these Terminatrix's with bouffant hairstyles. They let out these really shrill screams. 0_o

My dad eventually traded it for "Link to the Past", which to this day is one of my favorite bloody games ever made. It and "Megaman X" pretty much made me a gamer.

Cops & Robbers - Commodore 64

I feel old even though I was barely old enough to remember playing it in the first place.

I think it was Legend of Dragoon on the PS1. At least that's where some of my earliest memories of playing video games come from.

Bit of doozy for a first game, I think. I never finished it as a child but I did get it as a PS1 classic on my Vita recently. Soon it'll be conquered.

My god. It's been so long. I have no idea.

I have rather fond memories of going down to the basement with my dad, and typing in "tanks.exe" The game asked you a few questions, (How many players? 2 or 3? Maze, or Arena? Bouncy Walls? Breakable walls? How many shots?) and once you answered them, you had 2 or 3 multicolored wireframe tanks in a blue map. WASD controlled player 2, Arrow keys controlled player 1, and IJKL controlled player 3. And, you just drove around, trying to outsmart and hit the other tank once. From there, the wireframe tank blew apart, and probably due to a graphical glitch, destroyed some walls if it was too close.

The tanks were green, yellow, and red. And the score were in big numbers on the bottom of the screen. We'd play this game for about a half an hour before Dad wanted to do something else, but it was super fun, and I loved every second of it. Now and then my brother would join in, and we'd have a bit of three player craziness.

The tanks looked kind of like this, with the darker red lines moving around due to a low refresh rate.

I'm pretty sure that this game and scorched earth were the two games that solidified my love with tanks as a kid. WoT ruined that love.

I can't really remember but I think it was Disney's Aladdin on the Megadrive.

I remember really liking the music of that game.

An old TLC game called Treasure Mountain. It was quite terrible, as were most TLC games.

It's gotta be Sonic 2. I was three and my brother and I got a Genesis and even a spare television for Christmas.

Good times.

it was probably either break out or Circus on the Atari 2600 I remember playing the heck out of circus but I'm pretty sure we ha break out first. I also have vague memories of playing some Flash Gordon game on my mom's computer I don't remember what the computer was but the game ran off something that looked like an audio mix tape. I'm pretty sure that my Gameboy was later than that but I know the first game for that was tetris. First NES game was Super Mario/Duck Hunt, First SNES Super mario world, First genisis was sonic 2, first an only game gear was sonic that came with it. First PSX was sega frontier wich I bought before I owned the system. First ps2 was I believe called shadow of destiny....don't remember the title for sure but you kept dying and had to go back in time to fix it. first xbox was Silent hill 2 and first xbox 360 was blue dragon. First ds was chocobo tales first 3ds zero escape virtues last reward....huh I also had a gameboy color and a gameboy advanced but I can't recall what my first games on them where. dang that's a lot of firsts

The first game that I ever owned and played was Diddy Kong racing 64. So much fun, especially with the 10 missiles and super powered jets. But seriously, screw those bubbles.

The first game that I remember playing though was either Star Fox for SNES or Ken Griffey Junior's Winning Run for the SNES as well. I hated and loved them respectively.

Either Asteroids or Centipede. Probably Centipede considering I have more blurry fragmented memories of playing it.

It was some sort of kung fu game for the Amiga, can remember what it was called :|

Edit: after some intense googling, I think it might have been International Karate.
