What game do you thank(or blame) for making you what you are now? Mine would probably be freedom force. I used to spend hours sitting by my computer creating my own superheroes and controllimg them as they cleaned the streets of Patriot City.
And sorry if I just copied some other thread(allthough i didnt find anything similar).

Micromachines on the Mega Drive

Closely followed by Sonic 3/Sonic & Knuckles.

Oh how I wish those series were still good.

Been done, "game of your childhood".

I'll go with Diablo 2 (online content and love for RPG/cRPG/HnS games) and SNES games. Oh, and Neverwinter Nights.

Pool of Radiance, I think--the FIRST one, in the same series with Curse of the Azure Bonds and Secret of the Silver Blades. That game was so much fun.

I only went crazy over games after Prince of Persia The Sands of Time. I played very little before then.

SNES... Super Mario World... that "All Stars" cartrage (sp?), it had like... 7-8 Marios on it.

God that game was beautiful. My dad actually had to beat the first boss for me because I couldn't figure out how to stay on the platform.

After that I rocked that game. Maybe I should pick it up again!

centipede. the amount of quarters i put into that game was obscene.

much later, federation on compuserve and GEnie. getting my first bill after starting to play federation was when i knew i was hopelessly hooked on games, tho. ($6.00 p/hour.)

man i loved that game.

it was like elite but without graphics. amazing fun.

Katakis (R-Type clone for the C64). We had a Pong (clone) system and an Atari before that but I never really played a game much myself until Katakis. Well, okay, there may have been slightly earlier games but it's the one I remember the most, along with a hacked version of Giana Sisters that had a Mario sprite for the player.

Zelda - NES, A Link to the Past, and Ocarina of Time all had a major impact on me as far as what makes a game good.

Various games got me into various things, the major highlights though:

Trog, posibly the first game I played on the NES
Super Mario Kart for the SNES, first game I owned (along with the Super Scope)
Mario Kart 64/Pokemon Blue, made me a full on gamer in my teens (Along with original Doom, Mechwarrior and Age of Empires on family PC to certain extent)
Planetside, made me a PC + Online gamer forever.
