Obligatory "I loved that game" comment to your obligatory FF12 comment.Worsle said:Obligatory FF12 got a 40/40 score too comment. Japanese scoring is done a little differently to what is the norm in the West but still the score is a nice sign. The team behind the game is an other good sign too. I am mostly curious how the action holds up in the more frantic scenes as a lot seems to be happening at once in the trailers.CantFaketheFunk said:40/40 in Famitsu, only the twelfth (or thirteenth?) game to do that. So... make of that what you will.
You mean every game right? It is just that some companies are terrible at the sexual ads. But they totally try.Glefistus said:Any game that needs sexual ads to sell itself is probably going to be shitty.
Brawl got the 40/40 but Melee didn't?xscoot said:This game is as good as Nintendogs?fix-the-spade said:It might be worth knowing what those perfect marks were.

Famitsu's idea of a perfect game seems a bit open to interpretation, I'm not sure their opinion of perfect translates well over to western players. Although their 39/38 scores seem much more consistent.
YES.
Besides the fact that they aren't really "handing them out", "when" 40's come shouldn't really be an issue. Their integrity has pretty much been solid from then till now.nathan-dts said:How many of those 40/40's have been handed out in the last few years? Yeah I have to question some their perfect scores. For example, MGS4, although I've not played it myself, it's no secret that the cutsene to gameplay ratio is extremely disproportioned. Now if it were me rating it, I'd be docking a good 10-15 points for that alone. Of course if I was a game reviewer, I'd never give perfect scores 'cause I believe there's always room for improvement no matter how good something seems; so to get a perfect score out of me the game would have to literally knock my socks off.nathan-dts said:How many of those 40/40's have been handed out in the last few years? Hey! Look at this chick! Maybe if you look long enough, you won't notice how boring our game is!
I never played Heavenly Blade, but all of these types of games are the same
Ya really have we never heard the term. only in japan?SirBryghtside said:As expected?! This is Japan, John!CantFaketheFunk said:As expected, Bayonetta isn't quite naked, but she's close.
This is not really a good attitude to have when reviewing games.canadamus_prime said:Yeah I have to question some their perfect scores. Also Ocarina of Time, very good game to be sure, but worthy of a perfect score? Well I wouldn't have given it one. The first flaw that comes to mind with that game is the map, did they have to have the incredibly lengthy explanation on the map EVERY BLOODY DUNGEON.
