A really crappy emachine that my dad gave me. I played Call of Duty on it and the Sims and that's about the most it could run. Then I decided to be a PC gamer so I bought Team Fortress 2 and a good video card for it. It was actually my computer for a long time until recently I just couldn't take it. I could run the games, but not run them well. I bought Left 4 Dead 2 because I just couldn't miss out on it and I hate that game on the 360 and I installed it and when I started out, the opening cutscene's audio went in and out and chugged. In game I could run it smoothly at low. Once, I had died and I tried changing the quality from low to medium and I almost lagged out. My current computer is custom that my dad built and gave me for Christmas. I don't know exactly all the specs and I'm too lazy to figure them out.

Back in 1995, an Intel 386 based machine, i cant remember any other specs, except that it was around 30 MHz, and that i played Commander Keen and Supaplex on it. Good times. <3

First family computer was an IBM 286 with 5-1/4" floppy drive and a 20mb hard drive. First computer I paid for myself was a Gateway (cant remember the model) in '97 with a 400mhz processor and 20gb hard drive. I don't remember the RAM specs for either since I wasn't very tech savvy at the time.

Well... the first computer I actually owned, I'm still using. It's a piece of crap, but I love the thing anyways.

65.2 GB of memory
ATI RADEON XPRESS 200M
intel Celeron M 520 1.60GHz
1.8 GB of RAM

and right now the charger is in the process of killing itself and I'm too poor to buy a new one so I can't move my laptop at all without having to spend an hour trying to get it to charge again.

My first computer was bought within a month of my birth (1984).

Tandon
Intel 386
5.25" floppy drive
14" CRT monitor
EGA graphics
MS-DOS 5

Don't know anything else about it. We still have it in mothballs, though. And an IBM 286 from before I was born. My favourite, however, was the BBC Model B I was donated by a friend of the family.

An Acorn Electron - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acorn_Electron

My first x86 computer was a HP Pavilion built in the Czech republic, fantastically well built machine actually. 1.8ghz celery, 128MB of ram, integrated graphics, I think the hard drive was a 60GB or a 80GB and it ran XP Home.

It was a huge step up from the 633Mhz celery, 64MB ram, 40GB hard drive and WinME machine I kept running for the family for FIVE LONG YEARS without having to reformat.

A Target 300-something running MS-DOS 6.0 and Windows 3.11. I don't know its specifics, but I remember a 'Turbo'-button that could be pressed to increase it's clock speed and that it had a horribly low amount of RAM.

Entirely mine? I inherited my Dad's old work laptop a few weeks ago and have been getting Linux-related headaches ever since. Packard Bell Easynote with 512mb RAM and 40GB of hard disk space. I like the little thing.

My first computer is a Pravetc 16C - that's a Bulgarian built machine.
It has 12 MHz CPU, a 5" floppy disk and a 32MB hard disk.
I used to play Digger and Load Runner until I would start to dream I was still playing... but then the video card died and my father bought me a 100MHz 486DX4.
I still have the Pravetc, but I cannot find a replacement video card to see if it still works.
