My first videogame was a cheap knockoff that played Pong and a shooting game. After that, I had a Colecovision system that played Donkey Kong, as one of about 4 games I owned. My first PC game was Taskmaker that I bought with my first computer, a Macintosh LC, back in 1991. I literally bought it the same day I bought my computer. I also played a dungeon game on the TRS-80 that they used to have in Radio Shack, Dungeons of Daggorath. The sound of the blob... good times!

My first game was something on an Atari console. I can't remember what it was called, but it was a horizontal shooter where the player flies a small black helicopter and can press what I think was a shoulder button to switch which direction I was facing and shoot down oncoming planes from both directions. I don't think that Atari lasted me the rest of the day because I distinctly remember having to throw it out soon after I got it.

Console: Sega Mega Drive
Game: Jungle strike.

My first PC game? Solitare.

Nah, I'm kidding. The first one I played was Doom on a friend's PC a few years after release, I think.

The first console I ever owned was a Genesis which I got when I was I was 6 or 7 (Can't remember if it was Christmas or b-day since they are so close. I was roughly 7 either way). The first game I ever played at my own house was Rocky the Rodent on an SNES my parents rented from a video store when I was like 4-6. I remember playing Commander Keen on a friend's dad's computer before then and also Galaxian on an arcade cabinet in a waiting room somewhere. I know I played some at friend's houses before I got my own but I do not remember what they were.

The first game I ever played on a pc was DOOM on an ancient beast of a computer when I was three. The first game I ever played on a console was either Spyro the dragon on my friends ps1 around the same time or Super Mario 64 on an N64 they had rigged up at an old place called "Play planet".

I guess pong or a variation of it on one of the many clones that were released.

If that doesnt count as a console, then the first was actually one I input by hand on a ZX Spectrum 48k (Magazines at the time would list a few "indy" games in BASIC - Beginners All-purpose Symbolic Instruction Code)
The one I chose was a Centipede clone, which after about 2 hours of inputting, made me wish I had an Atari 2600 and a copy of ET.

The first real title I played was a game called Harrier Attack.

Im guessing most people don't have a clue what I am talking about, but some older readers may enjoy the nostalgia :D

Obligatory:- You kids today don't know you are born!

Game: Starfox 64.

I feel really young compared to a lot of gamers here..
One guy was talking about PS2 games so you at least got a generation on him.
