Either Baldur's gate II or fallout. Promised myself to play these for another 45 mins. and before I knew, the millenium started without me.

FFXII. My first FF game I've been gaming before it before but I've never wet so long without eating or drinking before. I was in a trance exploring the world and hunting and shit.I played that game so much that I started to forget what date it was and couldn't recognize it when I was tired. Good Times...

The first one I remember making me lose track of time was Duke Nukem 64. I played for a while, went for a drink and noticed that it was 3:45am

THAT is the power of the bot-match!!

Warcraft 3, tower defense and planetside. I'd play these starting at like 7pm and then not realize what time it was til the sun was blinding me. I had to start setting timers and alarms to remember when it was time to sleep

I've lost track of how long I've been losing track of time.
Probably some sort of old PC-RPG like Wastelands or BattleTech: The Crescent Hawk's Inception. RPGs probably did it more than games with clear 'rounds' or even Adventure Games like Space Quest or Hero Quest where you might die a couple times and it would lend itself to break-time or checking the clock.

X-Com, I installed it after my evening meal, and the next thing I knew it was dawn and birds were chirping.

When I was younger, I couldn't completely lose track of time since my parents kept an eye on how much time I spent playing. Compared to my friends' parents, mine were pretty cool and let me play a lot but still. The games I played the most then were Warcraft 2, Baldur's Gate and Starcraft. Time would go by fast but sooner or later I had to stop playing.

I think the first time I really lost track of time was in Warcraft 3. I faintly remember sitting down one Friday afternoon and played game after game with a friend. Before I knew it, it was 1 AM.

Then there was KotOR. I remember it came out on a Thursday and I was pissed because I had a chemistry exam the next day and I couldn't afford to play. Come Friday evening, I played it until Saturday morning. Star Wars + BioWare was a wet dream come true and the world stopped spinning when I fired it up.

Rome: Total War and Oblivion. I got them both at around the same time, and played both for endless hours.

I've been playing games for a very long time, but the game that really made me lose track of time, and really made me oblivious to anything around me was Metal Gear Solid.

Sneaking around and trying not to get caught takes a ton of time, patience, and attention.

I think Pokemon Red would be it for me. While I remember gaming for long periods of time prior to Red, this was the first one where I had any grasp on time and what it meant to play for a long time.

I am not sure. I don't know when my appreciation or concept of time started so it is really hard to say. Maybe one of the Pokemon games or Banjo-Kazooie.

Age of Empires 2 : The Conquerors.

Me and my brother would LAN our cheap Gateway P4 laptops for hours and hours.

My mom was so pissed when she caught us up a 5 am playing.

Same here...its the 1st game (I remember) where I had to force myself to turn it off cos Id been playing for 8 and a 1/2 hrs straight...

I probably played for much longer when I was a kid (I must have put SOOOO many hours into OoT, Goldeneye and stuff back in the day cos those games were huge and I dont know how long it took for me to beat it 100% but I did anyway...and I was 8)
