I'm 26 and my first gaming system was the NES (the original Nintendo for all you young'uns out there), back in the days of wired controllers, cartridge based games, no save files or rumble/vibration features.

I'm 21 and my first was the Dendy [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_Entertainment_System#Hardware_clones], basically an NES ripoff sold in the countries of the former soviet union in the early to mid nineties. No specifically warm gaming memories from back then, though I do distinctly remember playing Mortal Kombat on it. Also those wonderful buggy over-9000-games cartriges.

32, and my parents bought a Texas Instruments TI-99 back when I was about 5 or so. After that, they had an 8086, and my cousin gave me an Atari 2600(at least, I think it was).

I'm 16 and the first I played on was my brother's sega genesis while the first I owned was a gamecube. I loved that little cube.

I'm 22. My first system was a NES with a huge stack of games. I bought it from my friends older brother with some birthday money I got from my Nan.

And so it began...

27.

The first system that was in the house that my dad and i both played was the SEGA Mega Drive (Genesis(Go ALTERED BEAST)), he had a Spectrum and an Amstrad, but im not counting those since i didn't use them (especially since i destroyed the Spectrum with a cup of tea when i was a toddler, lol), but the first 1 i bought myself was a 2nd hand Playstation with Resident Evil 2 and Tekken 2.

Yeah.. I had a couple of those they broke down like once a year.. and you couldnt repair them so you just went out and bought a new one.. The controllers tired out in lika month if you play constantly.. And oh those fun yellow cartriges.. like 999 in one were actually bout 15 different games and a million versions of those..

Good times..

Oh yeah.. I'm 23..

22 and my first system was a SNES.

For added pointlessness: my favourite game on the SNES was Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. Fuck, I miss that game...

I also played Nintendo but I really cannot remember what was the brand . I survived every Windows ever made and Pentium 2,3,4 . Why does that make me feel old , damn we evolved fast.
