My first job was of course something in the section of under-paid and overworked. Was a waiter at a fancy restaurant. Mainly because I could speak French and was cheap to hire at age 15. You shall never be exploited to the same degree as you were with your first job.

Of course speaking ze French got me ze nice tips, which I 'id from ze boss, ze **** tried to 'og most of ze tips ze waiters got.

Paperboy back when I was 13. Unsociable hours, meager pay, heavy bags...
Same here, but I loved every second of it.

I'd do my paper route, then ride my bike across town and help my friend do his.

It's easier to land a paper on a roof than people think....

Well, looking back it did at least earn me a lot of money compared to what I would have had at that age and it kept me fit. I actually kept doing it until I got a real job when I was 18.

13 years old...Swept floors in an Ace Hardware to replace a guy who was caught stealing...I was then replaced 2 months later due to them thinking they had found someone better...Turns out they were wrong but I had gotten a new job washing dishes at a local coffee shop...Kept that job for 3 years and looking back, besides the good co-workers, the pay and hours SUCKED...

Planting flower stems in a greenhouse when I was 12-ish.

I did it for about...3 weeks, then my back was giving up. I was already a tall kid at that age and you shouldn't ask tall people to sit on their knees on a metal bars bend over for 4 hours at a time.

The pay was shit to boot, decent when you were a fast planter, but as someone who just started and has already trouble with just sitting down you can say that I wasn't very fast.

Ad delivery guy. Putting ads in people's mailboxes. I broke the rules a lot, and the greatest pleasure was when I, as I quit that job, received a "Work Certificate" saying that I had worked for them for nine months and they hadn't received any complaints, even though I was far from an ideal worker.

I have had pretty cool jobs.

Unofficially I have worked for my dad doing server maintenance, installs and other I.T work. This is my favorite kind of work as you get everything downloading and then play Runescape on a 10k IBM blade server for 2 hours XD.

Then theres random summer construction jobs.

I also worked at as a reff at a paintball arena. Last year I worked at a golf course, on slow days I could just take a cart out and read in it lol.

I ran a sandwich shop when I was 8. Along with sandwiches I sold drinks, chips and candy. I made about 50 bucks a day, mainly because it was really freaking hot and the people were coming around for a neighborhood wide yard-sale that lasted for about 2 days.

Cashier at the local Sainsbury's. The pay wasn't bad but the hours sucked and I hated sitting behind the till for hours on end. Much happier now I work in the pet section of a garden centre.

Although when I was 14/15 I would help a family friend out by going out with him in his Fairall's truck. (Fairall's is a building supplies shop and he worked in the delivery section, taking gravel and bricks and all the large heavy stuff to people's houses). I really enjoyed that and he even split the tips with me at the end of the week. Had to stop in the end for insurance reasons. Sucks =(
