The ghost in the shell movie. I remember rewinding the parts with Motoko in the invisi-suit over and over. It was either that or Armitage III where there was actually straight up human on cyborg-loli boot-knocking.

I was wondering if anyone else thought the same thing when they saw "mature anime." It just made me laugh.Fwee said:Just curious: Why even pipe in with a comment? I mean I had a few doubts about the title of the thread, but I thought I'd give it a shot.Omikron009 said:I don't watch anime. I loathe it.
Also, I couldn't have been the only person who immediately thought of disturbing hentai when I saw the words "mature anime."
Darknight910 makes a very good point, going by the "first anime that made you feel like you're watching something with adult content in it?" definition of mature I would also say either "Gundam Wing", or "Gundam 08th MS team" and, or "Outlaw Star".darknight910 said:I suppose one would have to think of what "mature anime" means in this context.
If it means, "What was the first anime with tits, gore and violence you ever saw?", then it's Akira.
If you mean, "What was the first anime that made you feel like you're watching something with adult content in it?? that would probably be Gundam Wing. (Yeah, I know it's sort of laughable with it being on Toonami a decade ago and all but with all that political intrigue and philosophizing over the nature of what it means to be a soldier, I think it counts)
