But yeah, I'm not going to be giving out links to the image or anything.
What about if I say pretty please?

Pretty please? :3
You would need to be drowsy, in the dark and with an overactive imagination. I have revisited the image a couple times today, and it isn't so bad.

Well Squidwards suicide was fucked up D:

I love stories like that! Also, I manned up and clicked one of the video links then it popped up and I was like 'wait no ABORT ABORT!' I'm a manly man, but dammit, I guess the creepy pasta got to me D:

Any other awesome stores like that which don't involve screamers or any other crap that'll interrupt my story time :(?

I also think asking for links to scary stories in a tread like this is asking for trouble, but whatever =x

Well I was reading random pages on tvtropes (I don't remember what page) and I stumbled onto The Terrible Secret of Animal Crossing. Its a Lets play of animal crossing and I was intrigued. So I read it. Yeah, I haven't played any animal crossing game since. <a href:"http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ItGotWorse>It got worse.
thank you for showing me that. that was hilarious :p

OT: i don't want to just say 'nothing' and give you a poor impression of me, so let me just say that nothing in the internet is scarier to me than the horrors offered in the real world. there's plenty of stuff i could reveal i fear, but fearing information? that's just silly. the internet is just data to me, despite context.

I think it was when I saw a .gif of a man being shot without being bothered and realized the internet had numbed me of any disgust to... anything.

For anybody just looking for good creepy stories without images, check out Ichor Falls [http://www.ichorfalls.com/]. I would especially recommend "Candle Cove" and "Lemon Blossom Girl".

I dunno, I kind of got a poor impression from the part where it seems you plagiarised the meaning intended to accompany "Offended".

Recently? Probably Marble Hornets. Specifically Entry 46(if you keep up you know the one) scared the pants off of me, it took me totally by surprise.

Sounds like you got a computer virus after you looked at the image ;)

Double-back: Okay, after I tried to post the line above I got a "page not found" and when I refreshed I receive The Escapist's 404. Wooowwowowowowowooooh! Freeky jeeky, not that I care. It's all fun, games and coincidence.

Sudden captcha that I didn't have when I tried to post: "Read me, Write me".

I have just woken up, can close my curtains and turn off my light to make it dark and I can assure you that my imagination is very active!

Well there was this one comic on the Facepunch forums from ages ago that freaked me out a bit. It was talking about this gallery of paintings made by some artist and the last frame showed his masterpiece which he apparently created from his own flesh and blood. The scary thing? The face in the last panel moves and looks at you. I wasn't expecting it and I totally flipped shit when I saw that happen. Later on it wasn't so bad but still creepy...

Oh not really a frightening Internet Experience but The Tall Man from Yathzee's Chzo Mythos series creeped me out for a couple of weeks after I finished playing all four games. [sub]The New Prince was awesome though...[/sub]

i haven't seen the page, so i don't know what you're talking about. but i'm assuming it's got some kind of collection of images portraying gore and/or brutality, and you think there's a connection between these things and the horror of which i refer?

i envy you, a bit.

Creepy stories and images don the internet don't really bother me though those loud, ear-raping screamers get to me, but its more a reaction in surprise and pain than fear.

The one exception maybe would be this [http://comic.naver.com/webtoon/detail.nhn?titleId=350217&no=31&weekday=tue#] comic, truly creepy.
Oh christ... that just made me shriek like a girl and alt-f4 out of the page. It was worse because it was the second time I read the comic- first time I had noscript on so I couldn't hear the moaning, after I read zhukov's post I deactivated it. *shudders*

Few creepypastas have kept me up a little later than I usually go to bed but never any all nighters. Marble hornets kind of freaked me out too.

Probably the creepiest thing ever was playing back in vanilla WoW. It was towards the end of the game before burning crusade came out and I went to a random server, made an undead warrior and started questing. I was like lvl 5 and was killing a spider, the only person there in the leveling zone and all of the sudden I see a player running towards me. He seemed to be running right towards me so I waited to see what he wanted.

The guy comes up to me and just stays silent for a bit, so I ask if he needed anything and he goes "Hi Logan."

That's my real fucking name on a server where I know NO ONE and in a zone where nobody but me and this other player are. It scared me so bad I just logged out immediately and deleted that character.

I'm sure it was just a coincidence and he was waiting for his friend Logan to make a toon but it still freaked me out so bad.

Does the Bioware Social Network count?
Yes... yes, it most certainly does.
Okay, I have to ask... what made you afraid? Was it the thought that if you were a troll you might get banned from playing your games offline? Cuz that is done/over (unfortunately).

Was it the fear that you might be called out for saying you'll never play another one of their games, but you still did?

Was it the fear of accepting STEAM type intrusive programs onto your computer?

Was it the fear of being socially against the grain as far as minority internet vocal fan sites go?

Was it because it's cool to not like EA? (kinda the same thing as my last question, sorry)

Was it because you fear change? Do you fear the future?

lolz... don't mind me, I'm just askin questions cat dood.
For me, it was the fear instilled from reading a sexually charged analysis of Quarian sweat molecules.

The knowyourmeme entry gives reference to the intention of the creator(s) of the offended page. Saying it was meant to communicate that a person's petty gripes about the ED contents, showed no importance when faced with the horrors of the real world, shown through the images on the page itself.

Your statement was very similar to the one being made by offended, referenced by knowyourmeme, so I got a bit suspicious, but I can't say anything for sure. It seemed likely in the context.

What could be more horrific than reality?

I was once playing a browsergame called upgrade unlocked 2. Now in this game you have to upgrade everyting, from the menu to the background music to the loading screens. So I was happily upgrading all cheap options to make the game playable when I noticed that one I ticked was called "Upgrade heartbeat".

So I remember wondering how this was going to.....WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!. Then I threw away my headphones and needed to catch my breath for a few minutes.

WHY!? WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?! TO ANYONE?! Oh dear god that was horrible.. And I didn't even see it all the way through, not even half.. *shudders*

I regret ever coming to this thread, and I shall now leave to never return. My eyes, they burn!
