Looking at a really old thread (and I mean really old) from an article last year about obssessions, it got me thinking about phases that people go through where they're obssessed by something. For example, my younger brother a while ago had a 'wrestling' phase, where he would basically try and watch every wrestling show on TV, play every wrestling game he could get his mitts on, and try out wrestling moves on me, a brother 2 years older than him. It was annoying, to say the least.
The point is, I was wondering what different phases and obssessions other people have gone through, periods where they've been interested in something that doesn't fit in with their normal interests and hobbies. I myself have recently had this occur, after seeing a theatre performance of Dracula at my university and reading Twilight in the same week, I have had a fascination ever since (about 3 months) with the macabre and the supernatural, vampires in particular. The macabre side of things was sort of enhanced when I read a review of American McGee's Alice a while ago.
So tell your thoughts and obssessions, we'd like to know what your 'phases' were (and please don't think too badly of me for reading Twilight, I'd only just heard of it at that time and hadn't read the reviews of the book or film... :s).
