So here's the thing: I have a ton of new games, bought in the past few months.

But instead of playing them, I find myself watching gameplay videos of those and other games on Youtube. Extensively!

My question is, what the hell is wrong with me?!

You probably dont want to get dissapointed so you find out as much as you can before playing them? That or youre afraid you wont do as well as those in the videos and watch them instead somehow.

Maybe you don't like the controls? What games are they, I find MW2 is sometimes more fun to wathc then play.

Mostly FPS games, anything from Halo to Haze.

It is indeed odd, but I find that whenever I feel like playing a game, the motivation is lacking, and watching the gameplay videos is a lot of fun.

Quite peculiar, eh?

Also, mr. Madbird, I'm sorry this thread doesn't meet your standards. Considering I only created one other thread, and that is about a specific gameplay element, I'd counter-suggest that you lighten up a bit.

I've got this problem where I bought Mass Effect 2 some time ago but have yet to play it. I know it's gonna be good but I just can't get myself to start playing.

No, but seriously I find myself doing the same thing. Its almost as if I prefer discussing games to playing them.

edit: Though I did just get out of a ME2 binge. So I think its that I feel a little guilty about playing games as opposed to doing something else more productive (ie studying) right now.
