I'd most likely be dead, although if I wasn't then I would find a gang leader or a warlord and offer my services as a strategist, tactician, and economist and try to assist in building up a workable state for him.
I'd probably someone who tries to band together a group and keep people safe, probably by rebuilding or fortifying a shelter. I would take in refugees, and operate under a strength in numbers theory. I'd be offering and stockpiling things like food and medical care to share with people and I'd elect to try and rebuild some kind of society, even if it's only a small town.
So, I guess you could call me The Socialist or The Optimist.
I would be a combo of 4 and 3. I would scavenge what I could get while thinking about my own survival. I am not normally a greedy person but I have always thought that if there were only a handful of people left alive, I would turn super greedy.
I'd most likely wind up as a combination of 4 and 2. Mostly a scav, but I'd be raiding the camps of group one and scavenging off of their corpses pretty often.
I'd probably be something along the lines of a scavenger, except I'd probably become good friends with a vigilante and become his arms and armor supplier.
I'm actually writing a short story about a post apacolyptic setting. It is told in the eyes of a sniper with dissociative idenity disorder. He befriends a group of survivors he knew before the apacolyps on one side, and on the other he plots to kill all of them. so he's more of a mixture of 1 and 2. depends on what side he is on.
if friends/family/pets are dead I would most likely try to be number 2 however knowing myself I would not survive very long. if they are alive id probably try to rebuild some kind of society however I would most likely fail and die.
I'll be a statistic, my husk laying forgotten in the ruins of a burned-out house somewhere.
...
FINE I'll play by your rules...I would probably try to find a group 2 guy and team up. Survival in numbers after all and, I suck at building stuff so, I'll help people kill marauders and, mutated God-Bears.
"Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter. Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter. Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter."
A strange combination of 2, 3, and 4. I'd be a survivor at heart (helping people where I could and picking up and losing companions), but I'd also be scavenging a freakin' tonne and I'd carry at least a pistol/sawn-off and a shotgun at least (I naturally come with my own sense of right and wrong).
