I think my perfect game would be called something like "Hells Crusader" Or something like that "Pure Evil" Sounds a little better but anyway, It takes a leaf out of the non linear rpg game because there is a whole world out there just for the taking... Or invading.. Or whatever evil deeds you want to perform. Set in the old medieval days, but not on earth of course. Its should be a bit like overlord in the fact that if you decide to build an Evil head quarters, a gang hideout or an evil tower or something like that then you will have many options, like decoration and henchmen. If you have henchmen you will be able dress them however you want. And they can be whatever sort of class you want, Like thuggish gangmembers or acolyte watchers of the tower of darkness..

Combat should be incredibly gory and weapons will come in all shapes and sizes. And depending on what class you are, new abilities will become available to you. Like for instance, The ability to use acrobatics and athletics in combat, Or a deadly swipe of your weapon which can kill a whole group of enemies, Or of course the ability to cast more deadly and gory spells. Like for instance a charged blast of negative energy or a wall of fire.

You should be able to do whatever possible in criminal terms.. for instance you could be the most wanted criminal in the world, infamous for your lack of mercy and uncontrollable rage and hatred for all. It would be a bit like GTA in this respect apart from is someone sees you the watch, or soldiers, or guardsmen wherever you are will be alerted by a lookout or a civillian that isnt running in fear or begging for his life. And then there's more organised crime, Like a thieves guild or a large gang. They will bribe the men to look the other way, or just sneak past unoticed or even kill them quick and quitely.

The story would be about your struggle to be the best of the best in your terms. And when you have achieved this or done something gruesome or even fallen into one of your enemies traps you will be confronted by your nemesis, But your nemesis wont always be the same. Depending on how youve treated people and what your actions are and who they effect. It could be the best bounty hunter in the land, the top man of all the watch or even a certain mercenary or military leader. Thats kind of prototype, planning the story is not going to be so easy.

I'd like to hear what other people think of my idea, whether they like it or not or whether some ideas need changing, Thanks ^^
In addition to making this, play Dungeon Keeper as well. (the original, you'll find it someplace)

...My perfect game would be a fun game. Something I can pick up over and over again and still enjoy the hell out of it as if it's fresh off the shelf.

I like the sound of the zombie game with the essay about it, its very rare to see something like mental stability or morale presented in a game realistically or even reasonably (most times it amounts to either having characters commit suicide or run like hell) but I could see something like that making a major mistake of allowing a player to get to a point where they are so injured and panicked that they have no hope in hell of completing a given mission.

And on top of that...they'd never allow a game that good to be made, the day for them to come up with their story and scripts would probably be posponed for Halo 4 or Gears of War 3 or even (god forbid) Half Life 3- yes, more grav gun puzzles.

I dunno if this would work or if it would be so packed it would sink faster then a brick but here it goes: A mmorpg styled on Hitman/GTA IV but made more simplistic with an emphasis on individuality (but as I said I feel it would be impossible to every do a game like that justice)

Breath of fire 3, with better graphic, more moves, more transformations and a time travel aspect to it, like, go back in time build a couple of houses and zip to the future and there's a city there, depending on the choices you made with the first couple of houses you can get better buys or customization shops or whatever. Also - angrier dialog so that when Ryu screams his lungs out because his best mate's just been slaughtered the player also gets that feeling of injustice lol.

Also, an arena type of place with an actual challenge to it; i find in most RPGs you know whether you're going to win the fight or not, it's simple maths, but in, say, Tales Of Symphonia there was a genuine struggle in the arena about what combos to chain "and shit" lol.

A movelist where you can choose your moves and which ones you want to combine instead your movesets being a linear progression with a choice between the mega bashybashy big damage one hit move and many hit but little damage move. Also - combine magic with moves, a simple thrust move + simple fireball should = Flame Slicer!! or something like that lol. And once you've combined the move you lose the originals so that you have to go back and re-learn the simple ones.

I also, in this game, want there to be areas where i can go where the combat becomes beat em' up style and other areas where it's FPS (But With A Sword!!), to compliment the god sim part of building houses and stuff. Although that certainly needs a medium difficulty mini-game to go with it so that you can't just get uber buys straight away, or a relevant pricing system so that you can have access to the ubers but not be able to buy them (unless you're a fan of Wow and can grind yourself stupid for 3 hours) and for each of those areas to be long and interesting, but also - optional so that when i get pissed off with it i don't have to grind my way through it needlessly.

Also - unlockable porn

My perfect game would be a game that looks like real-life. You could choose to go to 1st person, 3rd person, point and click. And one game that would have many games in it. An RPG, FPS, Sims type bullshit, RTS etc. Everything in one package. And the story would never end. Like real life, there are endless NPCs. You can talk to ANYONE, they all have different voices, they may even know you after you've played the game for 50 years. Basically real-life, minus the diarrhea, aches and fatigue. And more super-powers, weapons etc. There isn't much to say actually, that would be the only "perfect" game.

My perfect game... I guess I wouldn't know unless I played it, but I think a Sci-Fi sandbox style game would be awesome. Something with an ongoing timeline, like Harvest Moon, a good combat system for both in a spacecraft and on foot, and a social system that combines the intricate scheduling of Radiata Stories and the affection system of games like .Hack (though with much more obvious differences in social encounters in regards to affection level).

Try this for size:
It would be like Rome Total War but every single char would be controlled from a first person perspective by different people online. So for the RTS fans, they can be the generals and faction leaders whilst the RPG guys flesh out the army with "real" battles, mount&blade style. People could play as spies and shit (I know some people love that stuff).
This would obviously have to be HUGE but you could probably have it all stored on a company owned harddrive and stream off relevant bits.

NB: I know this will never happen but I have a dream...

A turn based - yes turn base - game like D&D or Warhammer. They just don't make them anymore. I was watching my friend play Warhammer at a tournament a I thought that would be fun.

Don't care if it's been done before. I'll post one.

My perfect game would be an RPG. It would take place across the entire lifespan of a universe. You would have to keep making new characters as your old ones died off. You would meet the NPCs of the world and come to live and fight alongside them. Each character would allow you new ways to explore. When you died you would simply start a new character and keep going. The game would end when that Universe ended. You would have shaped its history all the way through and at the end it would show you how your character's fared and what they did to contribute to the end.
You'd like rogue-like games. It's like an RPG, but when you die, your character's dead. Anyway, as you're exploring different parts of the dungeon, you'll occasionally bump into your old ghosts and the monsters who killed it.

I'd recommend the tiles version of Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup. It's my favorite RL and it's also one of the most accessible. Some people swear by Nethack and Angband, but I haven't gotten into those like I've gotten into Crawl.

My Perfect Game:

The game is called "Life."
Basically, I start being born. Then I slowly LEARN, Really LEARN how to walk. There will be a special control system just for me. Then, I can edit every single feature of my character. Age, weight, sex, height, everything. Then, I can go anywhere. Do anything.I can join the army, whereby the game becomes a COD-style shooter, I can become a criminal, whereby the game becomes a Godfather II esque crime-sim, I can become a king whereby the game becomes an RTS. When I get in a car or boat, the game becomes a driving game. When I shoot, it becomes a shooter. It is basically every single game in existance rolled into one universe, and I would never, ever need another.

A game where you get a HUGE gun that fires balloons and you have to collect starburst sweets and cook chicken. Then everything goes rainbow and you have to go down a waterslide, dodging the globs of colourful sugar that try to steal your shoes to eat for dinner. When you get to the bottom you have to swim through a big swimming pool, and when you get out, gravity is turned upside-down and you have to use the oh so fantabulous physics engine to throw sugar cubes into the correct buckets.

My perfect game would be one where the desgin team dosen't get bored half way through and just cut and paste for the rest of it. And changing the colours dosen't fool anyone.
