The moment you killed yourself, time would split and there would be more then 2 dimmensions at the time you are at.

1 dimmension of yourself
1 dimmension of the person you were planning on killing
1 dimmension of a world without the person you just killed

You wouldn't have been there to go back and kill yourself; it's a paradox I'm afraid.

Well you're royally fucked.

I believe that either, you just cease to exist once you kill your past self, or one that might a bit more sense (or no sense at all) is that your actions then branch off into a different timeline, dimension or something like that. I can't think of the words, it's a bit late here and I'm kinda tired.

I was going to explain it, but it appears someone has already done so for me. Once you time travel, you are immediately in another dimension.

Ever heard the theory of 10 dimensions? One of the dimensions is the infinity possible outcomes of a situation, you'd be experiencing two of them.

It would create alternate realities, one where you died then and there, and the other where you still exist standing over your own dead body...

You'd create a time paradox.

1. You go back in time and kill yourself.
2. Since you killed your past self, your future self don't exist.
3. Since your future don't exist, your past self survives the next time loop.
4. Your past self becomes your future self, goes back in time and kills your past self.
5. ?????
6. PROFIT!

This is of course untrue, I just felt like writing it.

It depends if you believe time is linear or not. If it's linear it would be impossible, but assuming it was then there would be a change in the amount of matter in the universe, which would probably end badly.

Either the universe implodes... congratulations you destroyed everything.

Or the universe would split into a series of possibilities with varying WTFness.

The universe would replace you with someone else who you went back and killed. (Hard to understand? read the saga of Darren Shan)

The universe would throw you into an alternate reality where you didn't exist beyond you killing yourself and you were nobody.

I think time travels linear but every moment is happening all the time... It's difficult to understand if you don't get it already.

there's so many different things that could happen it's hard to say.

you're got your classic time travel where you can end yourself, your trans-dimensional time travel where it affects an alternate dimension of your current timeline, but doesn't actually affect yours at all, your futurama style time travel where you can accidentally kill your grandfather and then become your own grandfather, and so on.

I think that you, being outside the proper time-space continuum, would continue to exist. But when you returned to your own time, your parents would have never given birth to you, and no memory or record of your past would exist.
