They would impose restrictions and whatnot, and people would find ways around them. Same with prohibition.

My little pony online would be out already. And the only competition would be hello kitty online.

Gaming would become an underground society of people willful enough to tough it out.

or

it would be all E rated games and there would be rioting in the streets.

Ironic if you think about it. By taking away violent games they incite real world violence.

I know, right? You should have seen me when I couldn't play Kingdom Hearts for a week. I was either overdosing on skittles and caffeine or fidgeting and talking to myself in a corner. Thank god Guitar Hero is so addictive though. That got me through.

As for the topic, I say someone would have to rally an underground gamer hangout with illegal developers. I say someone because I am WAY too lazy to do it myself.

I would be very glad that I'm in England. I'd also hope with all my might that UK developers would come out with something good.

Ah, History, how joyous is your repetition.

So, videogames have now been equated to booze. I love my generation oh so much.

Like rum runners, but with games? That would be pretty awesome.

It'd be like Mirror's Edge. We'd have game couriers freerunning and if you saw a traceur you'd know that great fun wasn't far behind. Or armed cops.

Indeed, and quite the battle royale it would be.
But yes, gaming would become some sort of dark and seedy subculture regulated by rogue designers and programmers. And now I'm picturing a Mad Max-esque world but with gasoline being replaced by rare, coveted video games.

The universe would implode into itself and all life as we know it would cease. Time and space would be rent in twain. Luckily, that will never happen.

Uhm yeah. Wich would mean that norwegian game industry would be kinda unaffected. And I'd be happy playing kiddy games. Because that's all we make. -.-
