What would you do for charity?

Today on the radio I heard about a polar plunge in my area for charity and it got me thinking what other crazy but honorable things would people do for a good cause. I would do a plunge, a walk (which I am planning to attend for Crohn?s) or just about anything else.

Edit: Other than physical harm

I would like to do a gaming marathon with friends, where for every hour we put in, the more money we put in the pot. It gets exponentially larger each hour, and it'd be like charity poker night. The event would be fun for the first couple of hours, and then it would start to get tedious.

I also didn't shave for all of November for Prostate Cancer,

That's a great idea! I would do that but I would require the assistance of an energy drink. It a good thing you did, how long was your facial hair?

I'd do that, but it would feel like a cop-out because my roommates and myself all participate in no-shave November.

OT: A gaming marathon, or money.
I honestly don't have the time to do arbitrary tasks that serve no other purpose than benefiting a cause. I'd rather just donate money, and keep my time.
It sounds terrible, but that's just how I feel.

Do you live Near Pittsburgh? Cause we do that shit for fun. I've done it once, it sucked after you got out, but it was so thrilling.

I dontk now. I guess anyhting up to physical harm. Like, I wouldnt let someone break my arm for charity. But I would do something that would risk injury, like playing hockey or fencing or something. I like to do charity work, especially if its fun.

Not at all that is perfectly understandable.

I'm strongly considering a live Let's Play for Child's Play this year. Promote it on my blog and via Facebook (and encourage my friends to do the same) and see if a live play of Skyrim (if it's playable) or New Vegas (if Skyrim's just too buggy to work as a live stream) can't maybe scare up a few bucks for the kids.

I'd strip for charity, /wink.

I really don't do much of anything for charity. I was going to give blood once, but needles freak me the hell out, I get shivers just thinking about it.

Well, I mean it sounds dumb, but thats what a few of my friends did one year. They wanted to raise money for people in the hospital, so they just set up a stand that siad anyone who donated ten bucks got ten minutes to do whatever physical harm they could do to my friends. I know, misguided, but we're like that. Besides, they raised over 5 grand.

Sex marathon...

...what? There's no reason I can't raise money AND do something I love!

serious answer: to be honest I can think of nothing I wouldn't do for charity. you know, as long as it's safe and it could be a laugh in either a "this is awesome" or "what the fuck am I doing?" kind of a way then...yeah, bring it on. If I can stay safe and have a genuine giggle while doing it, then I would do it.

Stupidest thing I've ever done for charity to date was dance around my local town centre as Darth Vader. That isn't weird enough? I was dancing to Carammelldansen! Not weird enough yet? There were 4 other guys with me, dressed as Luke, Chewie and Han Solo, respectively.

What I would do? Hmm...you never know until you try. For me, I HAVE done things.

I've donated to Desert Bus. (Totally won an auction too.)
I've high-fived in an attempt to get in the Guiness Book of World records and gotten Digornio to donate money to food banks.
I've contributed towards the Hugo Project. (Good luck figuring that one out.)

Exactly why I didnt do it, but I did pay the ten bucks. Now they know not to let me do that anymore. XD I broke (EDIT one of) then, rather quite literally.
