Call my doctor and tell him the meds stopped working, we need to up the dosage... the visions are coming back. No I won't put the knife down, get me the damn pills. And don't take them from the guy dressed up as a knight, he's really CIA and wants to kidnap your reproductive system to breed a super-genetic mutant baby that will take over the world faster than the anti-Christ on meth.
Please just get me my pills before the madness turns me into King George.

Mostly likely shout and run initially since the idea of ghosts particularly gives me the creeps for some reason. Maybe after a while, I'd be calm enough to try to take a photo or establish contact.

I would be so scared to the point I wouldn't get a good night sleep (wide awake).

I would probably forget how to breathe, and just when I remember absolutely cack myself. What would happen then is a flurry of heaving sobs, pooey pants and heavy to industrial strength drinking.

Assume that what I'm seeing is a hoax or prank or that I'm just plain hallucinating. If I manage to rule out any possibility of the above scenarios, then I'd keep it to myself.

If I myself am willing to question my sanity rather than readily believe in what I saw, then other people will certainly do the same. I quite like being not institutionalized.

Tell him that he's dead.

According to most stories, ghosts hang around because they think they're still among the living. So I'd tactfully inform the error of his ways.

If it turns out he KNEW he was dead and was just hanging around to be a prick, I'd call an exorcist.

I turn around looking for hidden cameras because somebody is fucking with me. Same thing if suddenly a velociraptor chases me down a hall or a girl talks to me. :\

As long as it does not get into my face and scream at me as I wake up,(that scenario makes me shudder) I would probably be frozen staring at it for the first encounter. If it became a regular thing, I would try to communicate with it. Having a real conversation with a spirit would provide answers to some of life's greatest questions.

Also take pictures and videos of course, I know there is some organization out there that will give you a few million dollars if you can prove the existence of a ghost.

"So...wassap?"

I handle potentially scary encounters in a rather stable manner, at first. I have warded off what might've been trouble a few times just by not showing any fear while keeping a close eye on every little thing around me. It's only LATER if I feel something-bad-going-down is imminent that I'll bail.

Well obviously, first thing I would do is blast it with a shotgun full of salt, then I would track down and burn its bones. Then realise that the ghost I've just killed was one that was protecting me from a more dangerous ghost which is now going to kill me. Sit back and wait for Dean Winchester to save me.

I have a ghost that lives in my basement he wears a suit and a bowler hat, and carries a suitcase. The only way I can see him is in my old glass computer screen.

I believe in science over ghosts so if that's all it did id simply chalk it up to seeing things and leave it at that, if it happened more then once then I'd swap to believing I was crazy while still ignoring it and keep doing that until someone else could confirm that it was actually a thing not just me. Its one of those things, if I was in a reality where ghosts were a thing , I would have options and steps to take and would be more accepting as society in general would be accepting but as it isn't and Im not I have little to no problem with this, I saw "someone" enter my room many many years ago that wasn't there but I was like 7 and stayed up to like 1am which was way past my bedtime so I don't really think there's anything in it and id treat this the same.

Take photos?

Unless ghosts are immune to photography, taking photographic proof of such a thing would definitely help prove that I'm not insane that ghosts are apparently real.
^This^

Or even better- try to film it

Also maybe try to speak with it.

Scream like a little girl and run. I'd analyze the situation if I don't end up passing out and cannot rid myself of its presence. If it just wants to talk cause it's sad and all, I'd talk to it and stuff. If it's out to kill me, I'd pray. I hear cellphone works and such mess with ghosts. I'd turn on a microwave too.

If I was able to, grab a camcorder and go all Slendervlog on the situation. Then I'd inadvertently gain internet fame. Then I'd get really annoyed by the questions concerning my "fictional" series. How did you do that effect? What software do you use? Do you hire actors or just ask your friends? And when I try to explain how it's real, everyone tells me to not be that guy that never breaks character. Then from my constant insistence that it's real, I get labeled crazy and isolated from my family and friends. Then all I left to do is hang out with my ghost.

I'm easily scared so I would most definitely freak out. After I've calmed down I'd ask if it wants something to drink. Having a mental breakdown is no excuse for being a bad host.

Realistically?

Go to bed, I'm obviously way too tired and seeing things. Good night of sleep should help sort that out.
