I would cry when my Xbox 360 red rings and all those MS points will be useless since they can't be reconverted into cash.
You found the invisible gasoline, and just attempted to light it, I'd call you on it but im impressed with your determination to start a flame war.
Peh. That's not how you start a flamewar...

Observe:

What would I do with 500,000 MS points? Nothing. I don't have an Xbox. ;p

Id sell my account so i don't have to burden my mind with its existence.
$100 would be fine. Enjoy your toys.

/Being an utter killjoy.

In all seriousness though, that is what id do.

You know I'm going to have to agree with that. I'd also just get all the games I need that I have yet to buy.

Sell for $100,000.
There are only a few XBL things I consider worth getting, and even getting rid of them at a loss is not bad, considering the amount I have, as well as the free nature surrounding my acquisition of them.

I'd sell my account. I have a 20 gig hard drive, and I don't play my 360 enough to justify buying a larger drive for all the content.

If you were to give me a 250 gig drive as well, I suppose I'd go get a few games on demand. Probably Fallout 3 if that's on there, and Red Dead Redemption if that's one. And I suppose I'd buy a on demand version of Oblivion, since my disk is sort of...scratchy.

if possible give 100,000 MS points to each of my 4 friends and then use my remaining points to try full versions of indie games, buy movies from Zune and games on demand and all the avatar marketplace stuff that I've ever liked

There's not that many games on there I actually want. I already have most the ones I do want. So...I guess I'd sell my points to someone.

How much is that in real world money and not stupid ass scam points bullshit? However much it is I'd sell it then spend it all on Steam, then my head would explode from so much awesome and I'd die a happy man. Or be a responsible adult and spend the money wisely :(

I would impulse buy every single game that seemed remotely interesting and would never have to feel guilty about it. And thats about it.

Get Mushihime-sama Futari Black Label, maybe get Valkenhayn and Makoto for Continuum Shift (and hold onto a little for Platinum the Trinity), and get whatever new Mass Effect DLC that comes out. What else is there? My brother would get the new Black Ops map pack. After that, I'll spend my time wondering if those points will ever expire and if I can spend them all (on stuff I actually want) before they do.

I'd sell them because I don't have an XBOX 360 or anything else that uses MS points, even if i did have a xbox I'd sell 450,000 of the points.

As if there are "Microsoft Points" anyway. It's like Disney Dollars or whatever they're called.

Everything you can buy is conveniently priced, so you always (suspiciously so) find yourself with a useless stack of 'points' that is too small to pay for anything, but of little consequence.

But it adds up....

EXTORTION

(I would probably not even bother using them tbh. There is absolutely nothing on the box right now that I'm even slightly interested in. If I had to sit down and force myself to use half-a-million 'points' with no idea what to spend it on, then I guess I lost the entertainment game. Rigged from the beginning it was.)
