What would you do with the ring?

Not the one ring, we all know that one is bound for Mordor

One of the biggest problems me and some friends have noticed about the Green Lantern is that lanterns never display their powers the way you want them too. This is because these powers come from the imagination, and so every writer will imagine different actions with the ring that the audience doesn't have a connection to. So my question is what would you do with a Green Lantern ring, how would you fight, what would you make on your down time?

I would use my green lantern ring to do the whole hero thing.

And I....have no idea how I would fight. My imagination is a wild, vast, totally uncontrollable thing. Anything could happen, even swarms of neon green nyan cats to ram into my enemies.

As for what I'd do on my down time...Figure out MORE cool stuff to do with the ring! Including learning how to make my own giant combat-ready dragon mount!

I would use it to augment my strength, because i can think of nothing better than pimp slapping evil wherever I see it.

Hard to say. I never really got until recently (when I picked up Blackest Night and its prelude comics) that the green light constructs are totally effective replications of what the user imagined...I'd always thought of them as hollow constructs or projections, for whatever reason.

I still think I'd be a defensive fighter, though, with perhaps a penchant for medieval weaponry. As for what I'd do in my downtime...what wouldn't I do? Honestly, the fact that I'd be able to fly is sweet enough...

OT: Well, let's see... Here are some things that I would make.

Extendable vibro-blade
Guns. Lots of them.
Faux Incredible Hulk.
IT'S A GUNDAM!!
Sonic Screwdriver.
Laser snakes.
The Soul Reaver.
Dragon of the (Green) Darkness Flame!
Deathclaws.
A giant swarm of mosquitoes (or a swarm of giant mosquitoes).
An F-ing T-Rex.
NINJAS! THOUSANDS OF THEM!
A giant katamari.
Ralph, George, and Lizzie from Rampage.
Eldritch abominations.

...and so on. How I would fight is fairly simple. I create and make things cause havoc for my enemies. I have a dizzying and evil imagination, so there are alot of things I could inflict upon them. My job is to make you realize that being the bad guy (as obviously you can't have EVIL Green Lanterns) is not worth it when I'm around.

As for what I'd do in my off-time... How about find a cure for being allergic to the flipping color YELLOW? The GL Corps would thank me forever for that one.
