i seem to recall in your first post it was called the "STUDENTS" lounge not the "STUDY" loungeskyfire_freckles said:We were loud.Demented Teddy said:What was the reason?skyfire_freckles said:This sort of happened to me when the my community college banned any kind of gaming in the student lounge. No more bridge, spades or hearts, no more magic the gathering or other crappy collectible card games it spawned, no more tabletop rpg.
My friends got all pissed but didn't want to do anything, so I went up to the enforcer and asked: where did this rule come from, why was it enacted and what can I do about it? She told me, and I told my friends, 'look, if you want to do something about it, this is what to do.' and then I started playing something else, somewhere else. They petitioned the student body and stuff, but nothing ever came of it.
So I guess if video games were outlawed, I would play something else, or move out of the country.
Apparently, people were trying to study in there, and there were complaints. Which should have been ignored, because our cc has a huge library with comfy chairs, computers, and several rooms bigger than our lounge where they could study in a group without having to be quiet. No one wants to leave gamers anything.
