Most of us are familiar with the 40k universe even if its just the name ringing a bell, but i have a question about what you think would happen, and then what you would do.
The Chaos Space Marines are led by Abaddon. Abaddon is supremely powerful to the point where Daemon Lords dont screw with him and he's been given dark gifts and blessing by the actual Chaos Gods. Along with that he contains the DNA (and i think the Geneseed) of the Greatest Space Marine ever, and this guy is on a quest to Kill the Emperor. And so where he goes, the CSM follow and do his bidding.
What happens if the Emperor doesnt die by his hand? What if there was just a simple mistake causing?
Techincal Failure? Nobody paid this months bill. A Thousand psykers are sacrificed each day to keep him alive - what if one of them is late?
What do you think Abaddon and the Chaos Army would do? What would you do?
Personally i think a whole new story and branch of the 40k Universe would begin. Abaddon would go through mutliple stages of disgust and rage for the gods that the Emperor died NOT by his hand, and aswell Praise for the dead Emperor, etc etc. you can see where im going and my point.
What i would do? Probably conquer the rest, giving praise and power to the Chaos Gods and prepare the galaxy for the Daemonic Invasion.
