I got a LOT of mileage out of MKDS. I'll throw a vote in for Delfino Square---loved that track for some reason.

Played a majority of them and enjoyed 64 and Double Dash the most.

I kind of wish they do fix the rubber banding that plagued the series. Maybe fix some of the items as well. And for new characters, how about crossovers of other Nintendo characters?

And my favorite tracks were Baby Park (DD) and Toad's turnpike reversed. (64)

The ability to have multiple humans together in the Grand Prix, which was not introduced until 64. 64 also brought in a number of new powerups that made you have to attack and defend as well as you raced. I always prefer complicated tracks with multiple routes to them such as Mushroom City or Kalamari Desert over the simple ones.

Don't really care for new characters much since they're all pretty similar and I just stick with Yoshi or Toad most of the time anyway. New powerups are always fun though, unless you're on the receiving end. I noticed that the jumping Feather was only put in the first one, but how about an enhanced version that gives you wings for about five seconds, enough to skip huge parts of some tracks if you use it right (if you don't use it right you'd just fall off the course)?

New (preferably complicated) tracks:

The Warioware Inc. Building
Shy Guy's Toy Box
The Excess Express (as in racing to stay ahead of the train)
Count Bleck's Castle

Honestly, I loved the weaponry the most in Mario Kart, something I couldn't get in most traditional racing games. Mario Kart 64 is still one of my favorite games.

And frankly, as long as a Mario Kart game has Rainbow Road, I'll play it.

BABY PARK!!!!!!!

...from double dash
Me and a few of my friends had such awesome carnage on that map :).
I don't know. Mario Kart just seems to be so easy to get people together for and just have a quick carnage romp.

Speaking of DD, I wish they would bring that dual-rider thing back. For some reason I just really liked that.

What I want to see is the AI stop cheating. Seriously, it kills the game. I also want larger buttons, the tiny ones on the DS Lite are murder. Without the former I won't buy Mario Kart, without the latter I won't buy a 3DS.

Only really played it on the 64, favourite thing was (were?) the three green shells. Let them spin around you for defence/excellent tackling and pick up the next powerup.

They became the worst thing ever when they grew wings. But I suppose everyone hates them until they have the opportunity to use them. XD Unless you're always awesome, then you always hate them. x___x

The only thing I don't like about the original drifting system is meeting people in Wi-Fi that can snake like there's no tomorrow.

But I like being able to use multiple drift boosts on one turn.

It's so confusing.

... i hate the broken, openly cheating, glitchy AI.

The only fun i had was try to scew the AI over by abusing their flaws and paths.

Otherwise, unimpresive games.
