The Liquor Act of 1992, the Wine Amendment Act of 1994, and the amendments to both of 2001. Such painful reading it is too. Makes me want to drown myself or the pages in liquor.

Currently reading Patrick McCabe's Breakfast on Pluto, and Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell, if I manage to get these storylines confused I will have achieved the unachievable...

Apparently it'll be an impressive feat if I actually manage to enjoy 1984...

The Foundation books by Asimov are what I'm currently digesting. I'm really interested after about 100 pages into the first one.

After that, I'm going to read Small Gods and the Sourcery from the Discworld series, of which I haven't read a single book yet.

I just read Catcher in the Rye, it was ok...I do not see what the hype is about
I am currently reading a book on the Battle of Teutoburg Forest called "The Battle that Stopped Rome" its good as far as non-fiction goes and its an easy read for those just getting into the whole reading thing.

I just finished reading Brave New World. It was a nice book and there will be a movie somewhere in 2011! Cant wait..
Brave New World > 1984. It doesn't help that 1984 gets referenced to death, and that whenever a political partisan wants to press a point, they'll start throwing terms like "Orwellian" and "thought crimes" around like there's no tomorrow.

Well to be honest I havent read 1984 yet but from what I've seen from some extracts it seems pretty good. Im sure though that it is somewhat different from Brave New World.

Yep, it's awesome that the 12th one finally came out. I hope that whoever finishes the series for Jordan does as great a job as he did.

Update:

OP(me) is now reading Lord of the Flies, A Clockwork Orange, and is trying to get his hands on a copy of The Zombie Survival Guide from ThinkGeek.

I'm currently reading The Shining. I'm about half way through and so far it's one of the best novels I've ever read in nearly all respects.

After that I have Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, Nightmares and Dreamscapes and Under The Dome to get through. Should be a gooooooood Christmas break!
