I just finished reading Animal Farm by George Orwell and now I'm about to read 1984, also by Orwell. I loved Animal Farm so I'm hoping that 1984 is just as good.

1984 is good, but the dystopia has been redone so many times it is starting to get boring to me, though this is knid of unfair to say being that that is the book that started the whole genre.

Right now I am reading "Blood Meridian" by Cormac McCarthy. I swear that this guy is the greatest living author

Suttree (Keep in mind, this book is HARD to wrap your mind around)
All the Pretty Horses
The Road
No Country for Old Men (If you haven't seen the movie)

The last real books I've read were the late Michael Crichton greats Jurassic Park and The Lost World. As for right know I am reading the Mangas Pokemon Adventure, Gunslinger Girl, Wolf and Spice, and Digimon Next.

It's a book about the Nazis winning WWII and they are currently in a cold war with the U.S.A.
It's set in the 60's.

I've never read the book but the movie with Rutger Hauer was pretty good. I should see if I can find this as well as finally get around to reading the book.

On-topic, I'm currently reading "Death Masks", Book 5 of the Dresden Files [http://www.jim-butcher.com/books/dresden/5/] by Jim Butcher. I've read the first 4 and this one one after the other. I was going to try to squeeze in Book 6 (Blood Rites) before Xmas but I don't know if I'll make it. My wishlist was nothing but books so I figure once I open whatever I get I'll have a bunch of other stuff to read.

I just finished reading Fahrenheit 451 for, like, the fourth time. Also, I'm re-reading World War Z. Then I'm going to work on "The Children of Hurin" by Tolkien. At least I think that is the name, the book has been hidden under papers for about two weeks.

I'm trying to get a hold of Angels & Demons to find out what the frick the Illuminati is. Ifm also looking into the rest of that whole Da Vinci code series thing. Also, reading Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe for class.

I hope you mean find out about what the Illuminati is doing in the book because you would be better off reading the wiki page and saving yourself time and money if you just want to learn about the illuminati in general.

Most all of his Discworld series (especially Night Watch, Small Gods and Thief of Time). That said my comment was kind of tongue in cheek because I really don't have an author thats such a favourite I could say they were the greatest ever. Have to look into McCarthy though.
