Well, maybe because it sucked?

But that's just my opinion.

WHICH IS LAW.
It wasn't so bad. It was far better than Killzone at least. The firefights were tight, good graphics, destructible environments...but it was too short.

Had it been released on Xbox with multiplayer, and things would be different.

Still trying to hunt it down, but the demo for it is probably the one I replayed most.

I don't know why.

The only real problem with Black was that it took too many hits to kill enemies.
Set your gun top single shot then aim for headshots. 1 hit kills and cool death animations.
No.

A headshot knocks their helmets off, then you have to score a second one.

I thought they were making a sequel with a different name, strangely i was reading an article about it in an old playstation 2 magazine
Never mind that, google is your friend

In a recent interview, co-creator and designer Stuart Black revealed that plans for "Black 2" were underway, but are now scrapped due to differences with Electronic Arts. Currently, Stuart Black and many of the developers of Black are now working on "Bodycount", a "spiritual successor" to the game which will be developed by Codemasters and released on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 during Q1 2011.[13][14]

What bugs me is that they CLEARLY intended to make it a franchise, set it up, and never followed through. Nothing has ever even been remotely mentioned about it.
They've made a ki d of spiritual successor though, called Bodycount. It's releasing in 2011. It's made by the same team. Go figure.
