Whiskey is my absolute favorite drink so if anyone has any recommendations for whiskey id be glad to hear them out. Havent had one i didnt like yet.
Whisky is as varied as wine, so I'd recommend investing in a selection of single malt scotch miniatures. The difference between single malts & blends, bourbon & sour mashes is huge, similar to the difference between XO premier cru cognac & cooking brandy. My favourite whisky would be an Islay (Ardbeg) from the south of the island. They're richer than the ones from the north, & have a higher phenolic content (an iodine tang).

If you're looking for something with a softer, sweeter flavour then you'd be better off going for a Jura. Although an island distillery, the Juras lack any of the Islays' phenol tang, & are much lighter in general.

There are loads of others, the Speyside distilleries produce about twenty or thirty different malts, as well as other islands like Skye (which produces Talisker, not a bad drop), the Highland distilleries, & so on. Like I say, just get an assortment of single malt miniatures representative of the varying regions (they sell them in collection packs of six & a dozen I think), & if you like whisky you'll find at least a couple of fantastic ones.

Dr. Pepper always hits the spot with me.

And once I go back to Japan next year, it's gonna be a Calpis binge. God-tier soft drink right there!

Cider. I'm partial to Aspell's Premier Cru, but my current favourite is Thatcher's Special 2009 Reserve.

Strong stuff for a long drink :)

I'm easy to please. But I do prefer drinks with whiskey. Due to a condition in my stomach I cannot enjoy it pure. So Whiskey and coke or a Tennessee assassin and I'm ready to party hard.
Also I'm quite the fan of Rum.
Tonight will be spend drinking red wine and champagne though.

I'm really fond of Irish Car Bombs.

As for beverages of the not mixed variety I tend to lean towards vodka, though less lately. I enjoy rum a lot too.

No man, Melon Soda is the way to go. Also Real Gold. Shit yes Real Gold.
And if you're looking for one of the most satisfying sodas ever, Brasil is where it's at. Guarana is the most delicious beverage I have ever consumed.

Strongbow + shot of Baileys = win? Actually I can't really remember, I've only tried it a few times when I was massively drunk. I think it was alright.

Over the holidays I've mostly been drinking JD + coke and this gorgeous strawberry cider (Brothers).

Scotch. I'm not bothered about the brand.
Though, really, I'm okay with anything that burns on the way down.

I tend to main Disaronno (amaretto), but I adore cider (mainly Stowford Press) and most wines, especially port.

Rootbeer. I'd like to explore the world and taste every kind of rootbeer.

For now, I'll have hot chocolate.
I'm not all that sure there are that many brands of root beer outside the US I'm afraid. The closest thing we Aussie's have is Sarsparilla.
How is Sarsparilla? What's it taste like?
hmm... I would describe it as somewhere between Apple juice, and cola. Although I might be mixing things up somewhat. XD

Half Kalua Mudslide, half chocolate milk so the flavor's not crazy strong. Haven't had much alcohol, but that stuff tastes amazing.

Ewwww....wild turkey is terrible. It's one step up from paint thinner.

Here's my usual selection.

Scotch - Not a scotch fan but I do have a bottle of 12yr old macallan I'm about to crack into
Rum - Don't like silver rum so I usually stick to Cpt. Morgans spiced.
Tequilla - Patron silver. Great flavor that goes down smooth.
Irish Whiskey - Either Redbreast or The Irishman if I'm feeling rich or Jameson if I'm poor.
Vodka - Tito's......Holy crap Texas makes the best vodka. Who would have thought that.
Gin - Bleck...I can't stand gin
Bourbon - Maker's Mark.
Beer - Way too many to list. While I'm alway up for trying something new, I usually stick to stuff from Shiner.

Dunno about brand specifics cause i don't know a lot about booze. if i get you pissed, that's all i need to know about it.

but my 2 favourite drinks are: double-vodka lemonade AND Jagerbombs.

side note: i wish Jagerbombs weren't so fucking expensive :(
