I usually prefer drawings and writing over photos and videos because drawings and writings don't have the same limitations.
Of course, the quality of the art/writing can vary immensely and that's the most important factor. When certain real-life material is really, really good it can often transcend fiction but that's rarely the case for me.
Also I draw it so there's that too. Means whatever saucy scenarios I envision can be realised. I think the appeal is that it's slightly (or hugely) exaggerated to the point where we're at least still sure that its a human figure. So that lets us feel good about it while being sure that we can just pop back in to reality in a bit. Plus some characters just invoke attraction from people.
