Today, Escapists, I pose you a question.

What is the most important thing in the world, to you?

I personally value our want and ability to understand more about our past and the world we live in than any other species in the known universe.
It's why I believe that history, science, writing and reading are so vital to our species. Because (in my opinion) it's what separates us from any other beings on Earth (or indeed the galaxy).

I look forward to hearing what you think.

My older sister, Sarah. We don't talk too much anymore, but I try to stay as in-touch as possible.

You forgot bacon.

You bastard.
In my split second of ignorance I forgot that Bacon is it's own category as it is too amazing (Amazing enough to warrant Bacon being capitalized.) to be lumped in with other foods.
My apologies.

My family and to a lesser extent my friends, being liked and respected by as many people as possible, being able to speak my mind without fear of repercussion, being as calm and rational as possible whilst keeping my emotions tightly under lock and key.
But mostly? being able to enjoy my life, being able to appreciate all the crap and gold that makes up our criminally short existence.

Well, Bacon is so important, it's naturally implied that, when the OP asked what the most important thing in the world to you was, he meant "other than bacon."

OT: I'd say my family. The past few years haven't been all sunshine and roses for me, and they've been incredibly supportive through it all.

My cat. I could survive if someone stole all my money, my games, my stuff, my identity, even my various accounts for stuff. But if anything EVER happened to my cat...

Writing. And, to a lesser extent, drawing.

It's a chance for those who are dissatisfied with the world we're confined to to imagine and create their own, better versions. And populate them with better versions of ourselves.

Who could pass up a chance of creative genesis, even if it is confined to words (or, in the latter case, lines) on paper?

My love and our sons. Nothing else, nobody else, comes even close to mattering.

Next on the list would probably be cherry flavored soda.

Music is the most important thing in my life. If music ceased to exist I would kill myself without hesitation. Aside from that it would be my close friends and the internet.(Exclusively of course)

right now, the most important thing to me is finishing my college so i can work for a game dev company so I can teach people how to make games just for the sake of making a masterpiece and not to make a quick buck.

I tend to think in an Existential way, so...the most important thing to ME is my immediate interaction with the world. What ripples and changes do I put into it during my daily life? Do I create trouble or grease the wheels of progress? And in the long run...will it even matter?

Everything and nothing...

I have alot of things I'm very passionate about, but I could get over the loss of any of it without too much trouble...especially the more abstract.

How about, my health? My health and living a relativly comfortable, abuse free life.
