I've got an original red 3DS, picked up used just over a year ago. Game list is as follows:

Pokemon Y
Pokemon Alpha Sapphire
Steel Diver
Pilot Wings Resort
Metal Gear Solid 3D
Splinter Cell 3D
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
Rollercoaster Tycoon 3D
Bravely Default
Dream Trigger
Shinobi
Mario Kart 7
Adventure Time: Hey Ice King, Why'd You Steal Our Garbage?

Inazuma Eleven
Crimson Shroud
Attack of the Friday Monsters
Etrian Odyssey: Untold
The Keep
Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition
The Starship Damrey
AeroPorter
Bugs Vs. Tanks
Liberation Maiden
Moon Chronicles
Steel Diver: Sub Wars
VVVVVV
Resident Evil: Revelations
Rayman 3D
Super Street Fighter IV

Of these, some highlights of the hard copies are Bravely Default (this is the best Final Fantasy game since at least FFIX, hands down. If you started with X, you didn't start with FF.), the Pokemon games, and surprisingly enough the Adventure Time game (if you like Zelda 2, you'll like this, and it's cheap if you can find it used), and for the E-shop titles, pretty much everything on the list is good. In fact, out of all the games I've got here, the only ones I wouldn't recommend are Rollercoaster Tycoon 3D (it's probably the worst game I've got for the system, it's more gimped than the Genesis version of Theme Park), Dream Trigger (on second thought, Rollercoaster Tycoon is only the second worst game I've got), Splinter Cell 3D, Steel Diver (the original, not Sub Wars, which is pretty darned good), Bugs Vs. Tanks, and unless you're really a fan of 90's PC dungeon crawlers, The Keep.

I recently got the Persona Q 3DS XL... Used to have a regular black 3DS with Kingdom Hearts-branded protector case, but I gave that to my mother on Valentine's Day...

Physical Games:
Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance (Collector's Edition; bought before the first 3DS)
Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd you steal our garbage?!! (Collector's Edition)
Project X Zone (Limited Edition)
Pokemon X/Y (Both bought simultaneously)
Pokemon Omega Ruby
Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth (The Wild Cards Premium Edition; bought prior to Persona Q 3DS XL)
Super Smash Bros. (Only the Club Nintendo code has been used)
Pokemon Alpha Sapphire (Still haven't opened yet)

Digital Games:
Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition (Don't know how I got this game, though...)
The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons (Best friend handed me his redeem code for this game...)
SENRAN KAGURA Burst (Impulsed-bought after over a year on my wish list...)
Super Mario Land (Got free via Club Nintendo...)

Demos (Still Available):
Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Special Demo (Ended up with two Mega Glacies...)
Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate (Still have one demo code left...)

So far, there hasn't been a game I haven't liked... However, only a few of them I wouldn't recommend on the grounds of not playing them enough to even consider recommending...

Looking at my pile of games I've got:

Fantasy Life
Pokemon Y
Luigi's Mansion 2
Ocarina of Time 3D
Resident Evil: Mercenaries
Bravely Default
Fire Emblem Awakening
Super Mario 3D Land
Super Pokemon Rumble
Resident Evil: Revelations
Mario Kart 7
Pokemon Omega Ruby
New Super Mario Bros. 2

Of those, I'd particularly recommend both Pokemon Y and Omega Ruby, Fire Emblem Awakening and Bravely Default. All the Mario games I have are exactly what you'd expect from a Mario game if that's your kind of thing.

original blue-blue 3DS owner, still own old blue clamshell DS (with another 30ish DS games... plus an other dozen GBA games for the 2nd slot):

Cartridge:
New Super Mario Bros. 2 - seemed to be fairly challenging as New 2D Mario's go. the end game includes running 3 level courses for max coins for streetpass battles, and reaching 1,000,000 coins, which I think I ended with like 800K before I stopped
Star Fox 64 3DS - loved the original, really like the remake, but is an acquired taste a little
Pokemon Y - great upgrade to the series, too bad the endgame is short
LoZ: A Link Between Worlds - love the updated SNES Hyrule and puzzle mechanics of becoming a painting
Super Mario 3D Land - bite sized 3D mario levels
Super Smash Bros. - 60 fps with all of the characters, nuff said
Castlevania: Mirror of Fate - very beautiful, but short and linear castlevania game. plays like 1 or 3, but looks like the HD Lords of Shadow

VC:
Mega Man in Dr. Wily's Revenge - very difficult, like Mega Man for NES
Mega Man V - most original Mega Man for Game Boy, with unique bosses based off the planets (unlike Mega Man 1-4 for Game Boy)
LoZ: Link's Awakening - a superb classic, if the inventory system can be slightly cumbersome given only 2 action buttons
Metroid II - short and hard, but not much exploration, makes up for it with atmosphere
Super Mario Land 2 - short, bizarre 2D mario adventure, but still holds up, if a little floaty
Kirby's Dream Land - short version of Kirby's Adventure without the copy ability
Wario Land 2 - not as fun as I expected, but a good distraction
-I like playing the old classics, what can I say?

I have an orignal DS and a 3DS, best game series on those consoles in my opinion is the Zero Escapes series, with 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors on the original DS and Virtue's Last Reward on the 3DS, really great puzzle game with a fantastic plot :)

also have pokemon Y, omega ruby, Zelda OoT, mario kart 7, Weegee's mansion 2 and Fire Emblem, all really awesome fun games.

Just got my 3ds back on Black Friday. I have:

-Fire Emblem: Awakening
-Majora's Mask 3D
-Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate
-Pokemon: Y
-Pokemon: Alpha Sapphire
-Super Smash Bros for 3DS

I have really enjoyed and recommend all of these games to anyone with a 3DS. I also played Kingdom Hearts 3D and enjoyed it, but I got to the final world and got a stuck. Then other games kept coming out and distracting me.

For those of you with a 3DS (or even a 2DS) what games are in your collection?
Counting only my physical 3DS games, and not those that are DSi/eShop only, my 3DS game collection consists of the following:

* Bravely Default
* Dead or Alive Dimensions
* Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights
* Fantasy Life
* Kirby: Triple Deluxe
* Naruto Powerful Shippuden
* Pokémon Alpha Sapphire
* Pokémon X
* Star Fox 64 3D
* The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D

LookingGlass said:
Which console do you have?
I have the original 3DS, in what I believe to be the aqua blue colour.

LookingGlass said:
Which games were worth it?
Well, all the 3DS games I currently own were worth obtaining, although I've yet to play Fantasy Life yet. If you mean what games were worth owning a 3DS for, then I would say Kirby: Triple Deluxe, Bravely Default, and Dead or Alive Dimensions, are the games amongst my collection that make my 3DS worth owning. I will also give credit to both the Pokémon games, as well as Naruto Powerful Shippuden and Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights, which have been very fun experiences.

LookingGlass said:
Which weren't?
Well I used to own both Super Pokémon Rumble (known as Pokémon Rumble Blast in the US) and Shinobi (Shinobi 3D), and the fact that I ownly used to own them kind of indicates that they weren't worth the purchase. Admittedly, Shinobi was not a bad game, I just never found the time to really play it and my interested waned rather quickly from it.

Super Pokémon Rumble however was a disappointing game that I simply did not enjoy playing. That game was definitely not worth the purchase.

Any good buys from the eShop?
Ooh, yes, quite a few. I've enjoyed quite a few games on the eShop released by Circle, including the DSi games, The Lost Town: The Dust, and The Lost Town: The Jungle. I've also enjoyed both Witch & Hero as well as Demon Box. Dillon's Rolling Western is a great Nintendo IP that was released on the eShop.

I've also had a lot of fun with the Kirby games that have come out via the 3DS virtual console such as Kirby's Dreamland 2, Kirby's Pinball Land, and Kirby's Adventure 3D. Balloon Kid is also a great game on the 3DS virtual console, and just cemented the fact that I love the Balloon Fight series.

All in all, I hope you enjoy your 3DS, and the many games it has to offer.

I don't have a whole lot as of yet, having traded in my Pokemon games towards a New 3DS.

Currently, I own:
Fire Emblem: Awakening
Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth
Super Smash Bros. 3DS
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

Mostly I'm waiting for the Xenoblade Chronicles port; everyone tells me the Wii version was brilliant.

Your mileage may vary on this one, but I think it's rather underrated: Fantasy Life. Sort of Animal Crossing-ish (minus the anthropomorphic animals) with RPG elements.

It's not perfect, and a bit overly talk-y at the beginning, but it can be fun if you enjoy collecting resources, bashing monsters, crafting items, etc.

I got a regular 3DS a few years ago.

I recommend:
+ Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy (eShop)
+ The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds (eShop)
+ Super Mario Land 3D

If you're a fan:
= Pokémon Y (eShop)
= Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D
= Star Fox 64 3D
= Metroid 2 (eShop)

They are OK, but I liked other stuff better:
- Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity (eShop)
- Mario & Luigi: Dream Team
- Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance

Pokemon X
Shin Megami Tensei 4
Project cross Zone
Fire Emblem: Awakening
Rune Factory 4
Bravely Default
Senran Kagura Burst
Harvest Moon 3D
Persona Q

Everything has been awesome. I mainly play Jrpgs and fighting games (with an odd anime/action game thrown in the mix) so this is kind of all I get for these systems.

Oh and I have an XL model. As for my fav game, it's a tough pick but prolly Project X Zone would have to take it. Seeing chars from .hack interact with chars from Xenosaga is beyond the universal level for awesome that ought to exist.

Oh and Senran Kagura was a surprise hit. On a first glance it looks like a game made by someone who thought dead or alive didn't have enough tits on display but it actually has amazing characters with touching stories (teared up more than once) and it builds an amazing world for you to get drawn in. The hilarious fanservice is just like a bonus and it utilizes the 3DS in hilarious ways. (you can, among other things, physically blow on the built in ds mic to make the chars' skirts fly up like in that very famous Merilyn Monroe image)

Wasn't chronicles a game only able to function in the new 3DS due to some hardware upgrades?

I don't know since it hasn't come out in the US yet. If it does, then I guess I won't be getting it.

Got the limited edition Luigi 3DS Xl with Pokemon X. At first I wasn't planning to buy a Pokemon game, thinking it had nothing new to offer to me, but once I saw the online stuff, Like random trading, I had to buy it.

Since then I got:

Fire emblem Awekening. I am not far with the game, but I absolutely love it. This is my first FE game and really feel that this is a great introductory title.

Monster hunter 3/4 ultimate. 3 was my first MH ever and 4 has the new online stuff. Really love this stuff and can't stop playing.

resident evil revaluations: Great action RE game and works great on the 3DS.

Smash 4: extremely disappointing game for me, But it is a well made 3ds product.

and my only digital download: Ace attorney phoenix wright 3ds. I love this series, but find this one lacking. Still much to love and really digged the new 3D visuals, but the presentation was lacking.
