I use my phone as an MP3 player and portable web browser(Chrome is my browser of choice). I don't really have any 'utility' apps apart from a flash light app and a QR code scanner.
I also bought a PS3 controller and a GameKlip so I could use my Galaxy SII as a handheld retro gaming device.
Some small... Samsung... HTC... thing. It's nice, a lot more reliable than my older smartphone, which didn't think the day was complete until it crashed or froze up and randomly exited out of apps, as well as overheat. The new phone, however, is pretty weak. Can't run many apps on the store, including Google Chrome. I use Dolphin Browser, and I mostly play a Dungeon Crawler-style RPG called Inotia for entertainment.
Storage is awful, which is why my app list is so puny. You're used to most phones having, what, 8GBs for the smaller models? Maybe 2GBs for crappier phones?
OKay I admit it, I use...Instagram, it's not my fault, everyone else was doing it... um.. I've got facebook, twitter, youtube, pinterest, some games, pics and videos.
The usual stuff: a lot of music, 5 music videos, 1 movie, 8gb's of games that i probably never played more than twice, hundreds of wallpapers that i'll probably never use and a 2gb video of my cousin meeting santa for the first time. And one more of her harrasing my grandfathers parrots.
I mostly surf on my phone, and check my mail&facebook. I did recently get an app that allows me to send money to my friends bank accounts, simply by typing in their phone apps (That is, if they also have this app). It's super easy and works great.
I primarily use my phone for music and the occasional text with my friends who don't pick up the phone for the fiftieth time. I also keep a Chess app and some podcasts if I'm bored.
Captcha- Satisfied with current cellphone provider?
I mostly browse the internet during lunch and catch up with the news through the BBC news app. Other than that I have Facebook and Echofon (twitter app) which I use now and again. Only utility apps I keep on my phone are the flash light one and a advanced calculator one which I sometimes need for work. I do use the satnav app now and again but that is integrated into the Android OS. Oh I have a app for banking as well and whatsapp so I can text people in another country without it costing me a ton of money.
I don't use my phone for music though, I use a separate iPod touch as the sound quality of my phone is poor to say the least, the iPod blows it away in that respect. Its mostly plugged into my car radio so carrying it around is not really a problem.
Oh, wait, the SD card. Um... about a dozen songs I don't listen to, and pictures I took 6 months ago of me and my fiancée. It also has my contacts list.
My phone is for... phone stuff. I haven't downloaded any apps, don't play any games, don't use it for music. Pretty much just texts and calls, and occasional browsing.
Considering the fact that I can't delete the factory installed apps: practically nothing despite have 1 and 1/2 GB of storage left on the SD card. In order to download an app I need to install it to the internal memory. Sometimes (remember, "sometimes") I can transfer the app onto the SD card. I can't uninstall the factory apps that I will never use (like the damn book reader. I can barely read text messages on the tiny screen, I doubt I will ever use it to read anything longer than two paragraphs) and therefore have so little space that I can't download an app to turn the camera flash into a flashlight. I have to manually go to my camcorder app and turn the light on anytime I need an impromptu light.
I have a dumbphone. The only thing stored on it is my lovely ringtones. (Banana Phone and the Legend of Zelda "item get" jingle, for calls and texts respectively.)
