What's one band you feel Rock Band has seriously neglected? (Besides Led Zeppelin)

Blind guardian, I don't know what songs are on rock band but it seems Guardian does not have one and they should, at least one.

2. Becoming the dragon - give the bass player some glory
3. Shogun - 11 minutes
No. A thousand times no. Matt's vocals are absolutely appaling, they should never be featured on an album, let alone a game. And anyway, you don't use your true vocal chords for that kind of singing.

On topic, i honestly think they need to come out with some DLC for more extreme forms of metal. Death metal, black metal etc.
suggestions???

***ramble alert***

I guess this is why they wouldn't put it "in game"... Too many varying opinions. Eg. I like Slipknot, Trivium, Killswitch Engage, Daysend and In Flames (to name a few), and would love further tracks from any, but I can think of at least 10 of my friends who don't (and that is THEIR choice). At the end of the day, they are in business to sell their product.

I have no idea what DLC is available, but maybe some way to choose exactly what tracks you want not just "packs" is the way to go???

And not just a bands "commercially successful" tracks but some less well known tracks as well (for the fans, eg. In Flames - Take this life was there, but if you added Food for the Gods... Would the fans like that?

Cream and Bastards Rise (Oh hey, it's already in Rock Band! I need to download it)
Flagpole Sitta (Just an outright fun song to both sing and play)
Carlotta Valdez (A nice, cool song. Not the best song ever for Rock Band, but still fun to play)
You are awesome. I didn't know anybody else liked them.

Tom Petty - Running Down A Dream
10 Years - Picture Perfect (Think that is the name, heard it on the radio. May not be however.)
Airbourne - Runnin' Wild

It's not just one band they're neglecting, it's pretty much every classic band. they neglect 60s, 70s, and 80s rock bands. I want to see some good DLC next year and that RB3(if there will be one) will have a better setlist. Same problem with Guitar Hero. They put too many modern bands, of which i bet no one has ever heard(excluding the international bands). Bands i want to see is Ted Nugent, AC/DC(original recordings), Black Sabbath, Dio, Styx, Queen, Cream, Deep Purple(smoke on the water isnt the song they made), and the only modern band i want to see is Wolfmother. Who else agrees?

Could do with more Deep Purple, anything but smoke on the water though, poor song gets played to death. Also I long for the day Otherworld by Nobuo Uematsu appears on it.
They definitely need some Nobuo Uematsu on there. They could also do with some more Static X. I know they have Push It on there, but they could have done better. They need some of their more challenging songs, as long as they're from Shadow Zone or back. Also needs a lot more Dream Theater.

I`ve lost count of the number of bands/songs/albums that RB has neglected , luckily guitar hero metallica is bringing some decent songs with it

Our lord and savior, Frank Zappa. I wouldn't mind a whole guitar hero Zappa game either.
This would be great, but they're just as protective of their masters as Zeppelin (possibly more so since apparently Page's reason for holding back the zeppelin masters is that he thinks that people shouldn't be allowed to play his music any way but on an actual guitar).

AC/DC. They only had one song included in the Rock Band series and no songs included in the Guitar Hero.
Yes, and it was the worst song to play in the game. Heck, at least Bad Reputation was short. You can call it a challenge of stamina, but Let There Be Rock is just so boring for every instrument.

Of course, I'm not a big fan of AC/DC but they HAVE to have some songs that would be more fun to play.

Personally, I think it would be interesting to have some Of Montreal, I'd be curious to see how they handle it. Also either some King Crimson would be nice too.

I don't think there on rock band or guitar hero, but im sure if i'm worng some one will point it out. Eagles; hotel california, desperado and take it easy would be pretty cool although they may not transfer well to a video game. oh and rock band hasn't "neglected" these bands, the bands themselves just don't want there music on a video game.
Hotel California's on Guitar Hero World Tour.

Overall, Harmonix has done a pretty good job representing all ends of the musical spectrum, from shitty pop-rock to heavy metal. What I'd like to see but what will probably never happen is some black metal. I know they have an Abnormality song on RB2, but that doesn't count. I mean a big-name black metal band.

Umm.. you DO realize that they released an AC/DC Rock Pack add-on for Rock Band, right? It was a Walmart exclusive, but it was a decent deal at $30 (it started at $40 but when they realized people didn't want to pay that much money they reduced it.) It's a decent collection, which probably would have been better as a big DLC, but the fact that you can import the songs into RB AND the regular game has it's own achievements (for those who are Achievement whores like myself) do make it at least worth looking into. If you're a big AC/DC fan then there's no reason not to get it. Finally, you will realize that "Let There Be Rock" is nothing near the other endurance tests the AC/DC Rock Pack throws at you. I should mention that the pack is from a LIVE show, and we all know how some artists like to just keep playing and playing at times, with some of the end solos literally lasting upwards of a minute (the thing where you just wail on the instruments for points at the end.) There are other songs that are upwards of 10 minutes long, and not with the long droughts like "Let There Be Rock." I recently failed on one song (I can't remember the name) that I swear went on for over 8 minutes, and the game claimed I failed at like 72% completion. At the very least, the game should give you a decent challenge, especially if you want to get some of the expert achievements.

As far as Led Zeppelin goes, I love how LZ is so "protective" of their songs when they blatantly stole so many of them and later got sued and lost over it.

For bands neglected, it's too bad that Van Halen has been rather ignored, with the exception of the 2 guitar hero songs. Having such an emphasis on keyboards on certain songs probably hasn't helped, but if they did a release of their greatest hits album, or at the least 1984 it would be a great addition that I think a lot of people would go for.

I don't understand why they've put out a ton of Nirvana stuff yet keep neglecting to put out their most famous (and best at parties) song, "Smells like Teen Spirit." It's probably Courtney Love being a money grubbing whore about the whole thing and throwing out ridiculous demands.

I would have said Pearl Jam, but with the upcoming release of "Ten," I have no reason to complain about that anymore.

A better question would be which genre has been badly neglacted...
to which I'd answer Death/Black Metal. Might not be very marketable, but they'd be brilliant as a challenge to play on a Guitar Hero/Rock Band game. Maybe ska as well. They should try expanding from the conventional Rock, in my opinion.

Styx is a perfect fit for Rock Band's "people-pleasing rock" brand identity, and they have a clear "top tier" of songs that everyone can agree on for DLC. (Much like Journey, or the Steve Miller Band.) For the 3 songs:
Come Sail Away
Mr. Roboto
