DDO is a great MMO. League of Legends is a great MOBA. S4 League is a great shooter. MicroVolts is also shaping up to be a good shooter(a game filled with scantily clad anime figurines shooting eachother? FINALLY).

Battle for Wesnoth (If you like TBS games, why have you not played this yet?)

not completely free since you have to have warcraft 3/Frozen Throne but dota ate away hours and hours, and hours of my life lol.
oh and i bought ff7, but i left my ps1 at my parents. so i got an emulator and downloaded ff7 on it... so that was free too i guess .

I've got to say that I, personally, really don't like DDO that much.

But there are TONS of free games that are easily better than a lot of $50-$60 games I can think of. Personally, I have to recommend Crush the Castle One or Two.

Dwarf fortress. It is better (and funner) then many games that cost around 40 USD.

i have a certain eye condition that gives me a HORRIBLE headache when i look at dwarf fortress, i think, because the way it looks with all the small characters and such kills my head

I don't know.. Perhaps I should mention Savage 2?

It's a FPS and a RTS! One player on the team builds buildings and manage resources, while the other players fight! It's very fun.

Flows well, lots of different ways of playing it, lots of tactics..

The graphics was pretty good actually, nothing wrong about it..

I'd say it was original, because I've never seen anything like it before or since!

Well.. its seems that free games are like the way for new artist to have a introducing card for the industry or just to give em to the ppl.

I've been playing Eccho Basar (yup extra credits idea) and even if it wasnt OMGWFTAwesome, it was pretty entertaining and very original.

but what ppl are normaly looking for in a free game i think is something absolutely cool, witch without the money to create it its.. hard to make. Tho a friend gave me this video from Black Prophecy, it makes me remember Star fox xD

Box Head: The Zombie Wars.

The ability to purchase and equip a minigun, AK 47, RPG, sentry bots, and trip mines to fight waves of evil undead horde?? This game provided me with plenty "OH CRaP NO Ammo!!" moments.
In terms of originality, it wasn't until I heard of the PSN title "Zombie Apocalypse" that there were others that played similar. Fluid sharp visuals.

OMG! its seems awesome!!! xD

All of the BoxHead games a wee bit diffrent and possitivly amazing
