**I did a forum search on this topic and found a lot of different topics but couldnt see one that directly answered my question, sorry if its a repeat because it seems like it would be**

I want to know what is the best game that is based around multiplayer mostly?
What I mean is a game that may or may not have a single player mode but if it does its the same as the multiplayer but with less people, for example: Marvel Ultimate Alliance (Can play single player but whats the point when theres 4 people playing anyway) or Mortal Kombat, or Heroes of Might and Magic (3-5), Mario Party etc.

Games can be on any console and can be of any age. Please dont just mention FPS games like Halo and COD though, there are many other genres and platforms that games exist on

(I made this list as ive moved back in with my parents and now need 4 player games to play with my brothers rather than the single players that ive been doing a lot of. I own most consoles from the snes to the 360 so please go through all the platforms)

Time Splitters: Future Perfect

Tons of different crazy and hilarious characters, a vast array of fun-to-use weapons, enjoyable maps to duke it out on, and most important of all:

It has split-screen with bots

Yes, the game has single-player, and yes, it's one of the most awesome FPS campaigns ever, but damn it, it's the best FPS ever because of it's split-screen multiplayer!

Besides, you can play multiplayer in single-player as well! Two player co-op in games feel so rare nowadays...

You want splitscreen then?

Um... Resistance isn't bad. Nintendo's probably your best bet though if you want new-ish games to play.

Otherwise, I'd recommend Star Wars: Battlefront II or any of the Burnout games.

This. The Timesplitters games are fantastic multiplayer games. I wish they'd hurry up and make Timesplitters 4.

Split screen or hotseat are fine, or games across multiple PC's. What I dont want are games that require multiple console like COD on the 360 or something. No way am I hooking up 4 consoles just to play 4 player. Is burnout split screen?

Oh hey there Perfect Dark 64! Sup?

I love the days of playing that on Nintendo with 3-4 other friends with all the bots running around. And it's on Xbox now isn't it? Oh I love that game so much :D

Yes, all Burnout games are. I'm not sure exactly how many people can play it together though. You should check that first.

It's for the PS2, by the way.
