Really? I found the control scheme for KoTOR to be quite inoffensive. You don't even need to use the keyboard outside of minigames if you don't want to, which I thought was pretty cool given that Bioware games have more in common with JRPGs than they do other WRPGs, at least when it comes to the method of walking around the game world. Sony used to sell a one-handed PS1 controller specifically for RPGs...
Edit: Actually, I might want to specify KoTOR has a JRPG like exploration system. The only other Bioware game I've tried is
Mass Effect 2, which may be JRPG like in some respects, but the control scheme is definitely not one of them.
