What's the dumbest thing you've ever cried about?

when i was mid pubescent or there abouts i cried because my sister got an apple pie that had sugar baked on top of it and mine didn't. my father threw some identical sugar on top of mine and claimed it was the same shit but i wasn't falling for that crap. cue the waterworks.

By means of an explanation, I have bipolar disorder, which often makes me very emotionally fragile and somewhat delusional.

I have clinical depression. I've cried over the absolute dumbest things you can possibly imagine. Including, but not limited to: Realising that I am out of milk and have to go to the store, birds chirping outside my window while I am trying to sleep, and dropping my last chicken nugget on the floor. All of these happened within the last year. Depression does fraked up stuff to your emotions.

Yes, pretty much this.

Sometimes dropping a piece of bread on the floor or forgetting your cup of tea to the other room is the worst thing ever.

At least in those times I've cried over things that FELT monumental.

But I cry pretty easily when emotional things aren't involved. Many scents make my eyes wet, I cannot be in a room where someone has handled garlic.
Also sometimes loud noises make me cry, especially in movie-theaters.

Like growling lions, or very 'dramatic' music. (Like the song from the requiem for a dream)

I think those times make me feel more dumb.

Oh gosh, for me embarrassingly, was when I was in primary school and it was break time. We had to pick players to go into two teams and every break, every day, the kids that were good at football where put into one team and kids who aren't were always put in the "rubbish" (or how they would say it back then "shit" team). Same thing everyday and one day I just cried because I was annoyed at being classified as "shit" and said f this.

i once teared up at these blood donation adds they were running around my town. its not like they had blood in them, just red scarves and a statistic stating how much blood was needed for various procedures, but i was holding back tears every time i thought too much about them.

Every marginally sad moment in an anime/game ever. My crying habits are weird, I start crying over depressing anime scenes and yet when I break my laptop I don't even think of crying.

Y'know I think i'm the kind of guy who tears up when arguing with someone. I won't even be sad there's just too much emotion going on there so I have to cry... Or something. I'm overly empathetic by nature, anyone I know even half well feels any pain and i'm done. I cried at the funeral of someone I've never even met for fuck sake.

I don't remember anything about crying over stupid shit in my childhood though, I must have blocked those dark years from my mind subconsciously. All children are nightmarish cunts by default including both you and me.

I cried at Lego Racers 2 when I failed to beat a cheating asshole ten times in a row. It was my first video game rage at eight years old. In this boss race, the boss is a stupid ice monster. He starts at the second light and is as fast as fuck. The various powerups that usually slow other racers down, do not work on him. He was more difficult than the final boss was. I nearly punched my computer once because of him.

God, Berg is the most ridiculous boss in that game. That mech would have been the hardest but the cheating fuck drops constant spikes behind him- I could never beat him. On my second, more recent playthrough I maxed out my car before going against him- caught up to him in a few seconds and then made sure I stayed just ahead for the rest of the race. If you get behind him you're screwed.
OT: I went through a year long phase of being made to cry every PE lesson, more or less. The teachers were (and still are) sadistic assholes, but I was the only they could make cry.

Well there are two answers that I see being relevant:

First (serious) is when I was little (maybe 8-9) I stayed under my mum and dads bed for several hours and cried because my mum didn't like a recent essay of mine. These days it would be such a "meh" thing and I had really no reason to be hurt - it was bad and move on. But as a kid a didn't understand that so well. These days I'd would just poke fun at her for "not having taste" or similar and we would both laugh about it - but back then I took my mothers approval was more to me than the entire world.

Second (comedic - to me at least) was crying over my ex. I mean she's my ex for a reason for gods sake. She was one of the most self obsessed, selfish, callous and annoying people (when I think back) that I have ever met.

The only reason we were even together is because of sex - we both wanted it, needed it and we had a really good time with each other as a result - for a short time. But a relationship like that most definitely has a "sell-by-date" - and when we broke up it was well past that.

The reason I say "comedic" is that when I think of it (in lieu of the relationship I have now) it seems so ridiculous to cry over her and all I can do is shake my head and smile bashfully.

All I can say is when you truly appreciate what love means, such things so irrelevant and ridiculous, it's terrible to think that you wasted that time on someone so inappropriate for you.

For me, I would say, women, but that's in the past, shit, I almost never shed a tear, even when I think it's impossible not to, I think my tear ducts might be fucked up or something, I can count the number of times I've cried since I was a kid, after the age of like 12, I stopped crying, at all, like 8-9 times since then, and aside from crying over a few women, and their callous and flippant bullshit, I've only cried about losing my cat, and at a couple of points when I figured I was pretty well dead, and it was sadness at not being able to express how much I care about the people close to me... So compared to that, crying over a woman who I'm not compatible with being a ***** to me, or stealing from me, or causing me hurt, seems pretty fucking childish and silly.

At OFF. I've played it a million times. It's not even that sad. It's more confusing than sad. It's hard to even call a story; it's some French mental health patient's random jottings in a notepad he stole from a child, complete with little pictures of flowers and crudely drawn cats.

I suppose you do kill your fair share of babies in the game.

OT: I think I went through a depressed stage recently, because I had a constant feeling of doom for a couple of months which culminated in me crying because someone else was a bit confused that their mother was taking a while to get home.

And then I had a laughing fit that lasted for hours when I watched a dog rescue video.

At first I couldn't think of anything since the latest reasons I've cried were over serious and understandable things.

However, I remember I had anxiety back at school when my mom or dad were late to pick me up. I went to a private school where the kids had to be picked up as opposed to taking the bus home. It happened a lot but I remember times where I would just get nervous and start bawling when my parents were late to get me. I would always assume the worst case scenario for some reason.

Luckily my teachers and classmates were actually really nice about it. Even up until sixth grade which sounds like the universal time where people become jerks. After seventh grade I finally overcame those anxieties.

When I was a kid I used to watch one of the Godzilla movies, I can't remember which one, but I remember either Godzilla, or one of Godzilla's buddies appears to get killed. I cried to Persona 4's ending. I guess the idea of crying over a video game is kinda dumb, but cmon man! THE SET UP CALLED FOR IT! Having to explain to people without spoiling it is worse cause they think I'm weird or something idk >~>
