im surprised i haven't seen it on here yet, but Superman 64 takes the cake for me. its leaps and bounds worse then any game i've played recently, even games people have complained are "super glitchy"

That game was a mess. nothing worked right ever.

Neverwinter Nights 2 was seriously glitchy on release.

...but pretty much par for the course for Obsidian.

I wish companies would hold onto games until most of the major bugs were addressed. I mean "back in the day" there wasn't a good way to fix these things if they made it into release... companies were more careful, I think. Sure bugs did still make it into release. But something like NWN2 or New Vegas would not have flown.

About 90% of Xbox 360 games.
Pretty much this. I blame the fact that thousands of people are now needed to make one dumb game. At some point the head doesn't know what the rear is doing, or the other way around. I can't believe that many people can work on one project without there being several hiccups.

But in answer to the question Modern Warfare 2, lol Javelin glitch and infinite noob tubes. I haven't played many 360 games since then, I have somewhat lost my taste for them.

Ghostbusters for the PS2. I couldn't bring myself to return it, even; I didn't want someone else being stuck with that mess of a game.
It had:
Level Crashes(I'm amazed the last level even loaded, quite frankly)
Disappearing Characters(Ray and Egon vanished completely from the game at one point)
Skyboxes messing up (on the first level, I accidentally went into the skybox somehow. Wtf?
Bosses Insta-dying(seriously, wtf?)

I don't normally have glitches, but I've had two major ones.
One was in Pokemon Red. I was past Lavender Town, and this Pidgey appeared. I used Rage. It used Sand-attack. Since I couldn't stop my pokemon using Rage, and it always missed... That went on for about two hours. I hadn't saved in a while either, so that pissed me off.

Recently, I was playing Dragon Age: Awakenings, and right near the end, in the city, all the textures and backgrounds disappeared, leaving this creepy brow/gold swirl covering everything. Eventually it just stopped loading. Worked fine the next day though.

Sue me but I'm gonna say Modern Shitstain 2 but it's because all the old games I've played were fantastic so I haven't been exposed to much shit throught my gamimg life.

I found Oblivion to have horrid, horrid bugs that continually crashed the system. Made it damn near unplayable.

The Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall. It would, among other things, periodically corrupt all of your save files. You don't know pain until your 60+ hours vanish in a corrupted poof of smoke.

(It should be said, I still played the hell out of that game).

The emulated version of Super Mario World, once you know how, the game becomes your ***** because of the glitches. Even Kaizo Mario World.

Second goes to Borderlands, crashes during level transition during multiplayer, special weapons not spawning correctly to name a few.

Honorable mention goes to New Vegas and the console Orange Boxes, but i dont own those so no right to comment.

Fallout New Vegas recently took the gold on Glitchiest Game Ever.
Before that, it was probably Final Liberation: a strategy game from 1997.
Been playing that recently, it's not really that buggy. Only issues I've had are from running it on XP (crashes a bit because of that) but it was intended for Win95.

PS3 version of Fallout 3. Crashed four times in 3 days and even managed to reset the console. I still have no clue how that one happened.

Spyro: Enter the dragonfly.

At one point, the CAMERA (and nothing else) froze up at the beginning of a stage, so I got to watch Spyro charge into the distance until he was nothing more than a tiny purple speck zigzagging around, way in the background, until I accidentally steered him off a cliff. Then, after the costumary two-second blackout, Spyro reappeared at the start of the level, minus one life - and the camera was STILL frozen.

And then the REST of the game froze up on me. Just as Spyro went running off the SAME damn cliff again.
