What's the longest amount of time you've stayed awake for?

Four days, afterwards I slept for an entire day.

In some anime's, that would make me "the chosen one."

[small]Seriously, there's an anime out there in which a kid is labeled as having a "mystical chosen power," simply because he can stay awake for 6 days and sleep it off in one day. It's called COFFEE Japan![/small]

Had a contest to see who could stay awake the longest, not for any reason, just we had nothing todo for afew days.

Got to 50ish hours then some eejit put on Transformers. I won, got 2nd wind a surprising amount of times but couldn't handle Transformers that tierd.

Worst experience ever.
By day three, I looked like I was constantly sweating.
By day five, there were little black cats running across the floors, walls and ceilings.
By day six, said cats were attacking me
By day seven, the english language no longer made sense, either hearing it or speaking it.
Then I passed out, I think I was drugged. Slept for 24 hours, got up and went pee, ate something and fell back to sleep for another 24. Then I was fine. Never again.

7 and a half days? Were you on drugs, being kept awake? Generally at a point you fall asleep whether you want to or not.

I've probably stayed up longer but I can only remember staying up for 40 hours.

4-5 days, I used to have insomnia. It is strange after 3 days, you start seeing things that are a little out of place, whether you like it or not. Usually only lasts about 30 seconds though.

8 days due to insomnia eventually I wound up in the hospital from a sleeping pill O.D.

after 4 days I kept on proclaiming that Jimmy Hoffa was still alive and that he killed Tupac.

I am an insomniac as well and sleeping pills don't work either on me. I think my record is 8-9 days. not sure though. I really don't remember anything when I am up that long. I like lose a chunk of my life. On the plus side, I do make some of my best art pieces when I'm like that, but in the end, not worth it.
Having insomnia sucks- your body gets so tired on the 4th or 5th day, you just stop, but your mind keeps going, like caffeine infused hamster on meth. Songs are the worst. I had this running through my head in the background for a day-"This is the song that never ends, it goes on and on my friend. Some people started singing without knowing what it was, and their still singing just because this is the song that never ends..."

maybe 22, without really trying. from 8 am to 6am the next day. I could probably go longer if I tryed (once I get KH1, im playing Kh1, CoM,and 2 in a row, I hope, and I might stay up later for ODST's release, havent decided though).

Now that I think about it, I wonder how long I could stay awake. Id probably have to sleep alot the previous day, i only get like 5-6 hours of sleep in the summer,6-12 on weekends, and 6-7 on school days.

I just couldn't sleep for some reason, I remember staring up at the ceiling for 5 hours straight and I still couldn't sleep.

I eventually fell asleep watching some "Ernest" movie or something.
