Something similar, but not quite this, has been done before but it was some years ago, according to the search bar.
While trying to locate my notes from the lesson from the day before yesterday I came across a papper that was about mother language and compund words. It stated that longest word in active use in finnish is this: "Suihkuturbuuniapumekaanikkoupseerioppilas", which translates to, "Jet engine assistant mechanic NCO student.
However, if we count the artificial words the longest word in finnish dictionary would be
"kumarreksituteskenteleentuvaisehkollaismaisekkuudellisenneskenteluttelemattomammuuksissansakkaankopahan"
this is done by a professor who wanted to test his limits and it mainly consists of case suffixes (we've got 17 of those). Translation, at least on my level of English, isn't possible and that word doesn't mean anything. That is 103 words by the way.
So out of curiosity, what is the longest word in your language?
