Stubbs the Zombie really was ho-hum, but it was fun in the same way watching a kid play on a trampoline with a pool barely within jumping range, it's tolerable, and has the potential to be a good laugh.

I'm gonna have to go with Thrill Kill.
It was an over-the-top violent fighting game (probably banned from most countries) for the PS1.
The fighting mechanics were pretty pathetic but the game allowed 4 characters to fight in a small room and violently beat each other to a pulp.
The character designs and violence was so ridiculously overdone that playing it with buddies was pretty fun.
It also featured eliminations which led to 3 finishers in a game, each time killing off 1 player. Everyone desperatly scrambled for their life when a finisher was about to go done, it was so much mindless fun.
In many ways it was an extension of what made MK fun...

No More Heroes. That game got great reviews but truth be told the gameplay was terrible. The story and the sense of humor it had was awesome though. x-play gave it a 5/5 and admitted during the review that the only reason was the innovation rather that fun factor. I totally agree with them that game needs to be played, not because of its quality but because of its awesomeness.

Gundam Crossfire. I played that game for hours. But here's the reason. If you think about as playing a video game you'll hate it. If you think about it like playing with a bunch of Gundam models...then you have a pretty sweet model war going on where you can blow up the other models and take some childish fun in doing it.

I have to say Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick was awesomely bad. It really wasn't that good of a game, but I had so much fun with it...mostly due to my love of the Evil Dead series. It's just so awesome to kill deadites as the unlucky, beaten down Ash.

I'll take Sonic: Unleashed.
I love Sonic in my Sega Mega Drive II days ...game was awesome.
Okey I say ...new game and it's on the 360 ...should be good ,well it wasn't.
My Dreams got smashed ...and that's about what I got to say.

Dirge of Cerberus. It has it's moments but tries too hard to make the story and gameplay as interesting and addictive as other Final Fantasy games. It's my guilty pleasure, and Squares freak of nature.Oh, and I feel your pain about Army of Two. The demo was bad enough. But my friend says it is really fun and always compares it to Gears. Pisses me off.

I've got to say Gex 64, luckily I didn't pay for it as it was a christmas present one year. It was a horrible imitation of Banjo Kazooie/Mario 64... but it did have one section where you became 'Gexzilla' and ran around smashing buildings and taking out some massive robot thing.

I actually enjoyed that bit, and have rather fond memories of it. I can't remember anything else about the game though...

Probably Valis: The Legend of Fantasm Soldier and its sequels. The difficulty curve of each game was all over the place, the graphics were less than stellar and full of clipping errors, the plot was pure cheese, but damn it was a lot of fun.

Also, every Phantasy Star game except Phantasy Star 4. The first game's "3D dungeon" thing was disorienting and gave me motion sickness; the second game I needed a map for every single dungeon because they all looked exactly the same just colored differently; the third game was very boring and the music changing during battle depending on my performance got old fast; Online was fun but at someone already said far too repetitive; and Universe made me alternately laugh in mockery and cry with shame. PS4 was probably the only competent entry in the franchise and was my first console RPG, so I tend to be lenient with the franchise for that reason (even if it is a bad excuse).

Hmm, I would have to nominate Typing of the Dead myself. Such a retarded concept, but it makes fun of itself so well.

Oh, and if you thought I stole that from the latest Zero Punctuation, shame on you.

I'm going to put up Dynasty Warriors.

The premise is absolutely solid.

And then you get to play it.

And for some reason you're still playing after three hours.

And then you realize you're actually having fun despite having just ten moves, crappy field of vision, boring objectives, crappy visuals and choppy movement and go "What happened here? Did someone steal my brain while I wasn't watching?"

My Friend made me try Guild wars once and i didn't really find it fun and the fact that when you download it and start playing the 1st thing it wants you to do is download 20,000 files.

Oh and i'd probably say... erm jesus i forgot mother f#$^*(
i'll probably remember later
Oh right, wow, because A: its addictive
B: to gear oriented (no skill really is involved)
C: fan boys/anti fanboys ***** about it to much
D: idiots who give "suggestions" ruin the game which was perfectly fine in the first place, just because you get ganked by a rogue doesn't mean NERF THE FUCK OUT OF IT JESUS CHRIST PEOPLE... i'm sorry but i'm tired of getting nerfed, we are finally get the buff stick this patch wewt!

The trailer for Heavy Metal FAKK 2 makes it look pretty awesome.

Actually it reminds me of another awesomely bad game - Turok 2 for the N64. The last, and perhaps only, Turok of any consequence. It was a solid FPS for the time, but it's just too of its time to be able to maintain a presence in the gaming consciousness. Still, with tons of squishy exploding creatures it was definitely on my awesome list for about four months.
There's quite a few faults with Turok, but the minute you mention the braineating gun every possible argument against it evaporates :D
