Shadow Madness for the PS1. It nearly took my PS1 with it. Characters flipped colors, it continually glitched out, the next town over? It couldn't HANDLE the next town over.

I had a minor issue with Zork Nemesis, in which there was a glitch in loading the CDs back to back. When it asked you to put in CD2, you had to sacrifice a goat to some undergod in some vague hope it would load that CD.

I don't usually buy games on day one due to being really cheap, and the fact nobody does any quality assurance anymore. The most broken game I've got is Batman Arkham City on PC. DX11 mode is broken right out of the box. The patch that sort of fixes it (framerates no longer dip into the single digits, but still fall below 30FPS even on hardware that should handle it fine) managed to mess up DX9 mode, causing performance problems no matter what. It's not quite as bad as RAGE or the PC version of Grand Theft Auto IV. I'm probably more upset about it as the game has been out for 2 months after a 1 month delay implemented solely to boost sales on the console versions, and while the game is technically playable, I refuse to play it in its current state.

Skyrim after you have played for 30 hours you get more slowdowns, crashes, and just unplayablitiy. I thought I would be able to get through the majority of the content before it starts lagging big time but there is just too many quests, places and stuff to do!

Oblivion, far more broken than any of Bethesda's other games. It's the only game that ever made me clear the 360's cache, I didn't even know that was a thing. And I'm not just talking about the glitches, combat and leveling are insanely broken as well.

Is it just me or does everyone when talking about Bethesda, TES and all that stuff completely ignore Arena and Daggerfall - the latter of which was so broken that you couldn't even complete the Main Quest without hacking?

I guess I didn't buy that, but that's definitely my one. Though I enjoyed it, despite the constant corrupted saves.

Edit: Oh, God. people might be ignoring Morrowind soon.

*shudder*
I never played them. I have the free copies you can get online saved on this computer, but I'm not sure if they're worth playing based on the horror stories I've heard. I'll probably give Morrowind a shot after I get a copy. Skyrim has redeemed my feelings towards the series so I'm willing to check out some older entries. Sorry, when I said "Bethesda's other games", I should have said more recent games, implying Fallout 3, New Vegas (Which they only published, but as you can see by the thread everyone thinks it's bugged to hell), and Skyrim.

No matter what I hear about glitches from Bethesda Obsidian, I never suffer from any ever. And to answer, Brink

The most broken game I've ever bought would have to be Magicka. But ya know what? It was still damn fun.

Skyrim, by far. More enviroment snags and odd glitches than ever. Bethesda is getting worse and worse with that.

Not gonna lie, I'm a huge fanboy for Bethesda and will always play their stuff. Just making a note that I haven't played much buggier. I remember installing Morrowind for the first time and I have only seen one bug since it first came out. Granted it kicked my ass, but never failed due to bugs.

Personal Opinion: Patching is making it harder to buy a solid game on release day

My copy of Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter for the ps2. There's a glitch in one of the levels wherein the objective is to clear the room ahead for a group of people to proceed and I clear the room and the people don't fucking move. I've tried looking at a strategy guide and everything but the motherfuckers are just stuck. The rest of the game's alright (although I did fall through the floor once) but that one bug literally makes the game not completable.

At least Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter is still playable up until that point, which I can't say for my copy of Fallout 3 which suffered from a bug in which the game would crash in about 1-2 minutes of being outside. It's been patched now, but at the time that one error pretty much forced me to reinstall the game and delete 55 hours of progress in a futile attempt to fix the game.

Do gifts count? Because I got Ninjabread Man when I first got the Wii. My god was it terrible, due to the amazingly bad nunchuck jumping system I rage quitted in the tutorial. I then proceeded to trade it in and get Super Mario Galaxy.

Kotor2 on windows 7. I had to contact securom to get a new .exe that works with that os. Apart from the incompatibility, things are just bugged in that game. Swoop racing is bugged, content is missing, certain conversation options can BREAK YOUR GAME, feats not doing what they should, etc. There are some pretty shitty design choices as well e.g. defense cap based on level (hey you know that sweet dex build u had in kotor 1FUCKYOU). I still love that game though; I like the story :D

Alpha Black Zero: Intrepid Protocol, bought this piece of crap for $5, big waste. Crappy FPS squad shooter, buggy as hell and just dull to boot, tries to be Delta Force but just fails. I don't think i even engaged any enemies while playing it, just dide some Delta Force sniping and tried to prevent my teammates from lemming out off short cliffs before giving up on it.
