For film buffs such as myself, the conversations at parties and soirees inevitably turn to the themes and craft of film. Normally, this would make for a delightful evening of remincsing but if one hasn't seen the film it can turn into an awkward situation.

You nod and agree with points, but you'd never ever admit that you've never seen the film.

Well folks, I hereby pesent this thread for you to assuage your shame by telling us all what you haven't seen and taking solace in the others who have not seen the classics you would gasp at. After all, I believe we all have one or two films that you never get around to seeing.

So, what's the most famous film that you've never seen?

I have never seen Chinatown or Raging Bull

Godfather I'd say... Widely considered the best movie ever... Been dying to though.

Citizen Kane does not suck, it's still really good.

I've never seen 'Raging Bull' either or 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly' or 'Casino'

Being a former film graduate and film producer I have seen a heck of alot of rerally good cinema, and alot of tripe also. That said I have just recieved a copy of Fellini's seminal masterpiece 8 1/2 that I am yet to see. But most folk on here won't have watched/heard of it.

Th is thread is just going to get boring with a crazy amout of folks saying haw they've not seen 2001 or the Godfather and people telling them to do so because its EPIC....How rather dull!

I've never seen The Godfather series or The Shawshank Redemption.
They're on top of the imdb top 250 and I should really go rent them.

edit: and before last week, Pulp Fiction.
Glad I finally got to see it, it really is as good as people say.

Everything. You name it there's a chance I haven't seen it! Citizen Kane, Casablanca, The Godfather, pretty much all the most famous films ever. I have recently aquired Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, Reservoir Dogs, American History X, Apocalypse Now, The Wicker Man and Taxi Driver but I haven't watched any of them left.

Citizen Cane, Goodfellas (really want to see that though), E.T., all of Pulp Fiction, It's a wonderful life (someone else said it but I have no clue what it is), an inconvenient truth, Shaft, Raging bull and that's just what has already been listed. I have missed a lot of famous movies but I have heard great things about almost all of those, specially what I mentioned.

Titanic. I can't bear to sit through that crap though. I know I shouldn't say a film is crap without having seen it but I will make an exception in this case.

I understand why you don't want to see it but it's not as bad as it sounds.
I like this movie, not for the plot, but for the beautiful settings, the costumes and the 1912 mood.
And I like the feeling of despair and seeing all that splendor going down when the ship sinks, which is very well done.
It also helps that Kate Winslet is one of my favorite actresses.

But of course this might just not be the movie for you.
